What did you pay for your 2016 Trail Premium
I got the dealer down to $37999 for a silver 2016 premium trail edition. I'm not sure if this is a good price or not. I would love to know what others have paid for comparison. I put $500 down for a new one that is due to arrive from Japan in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for your help.

It really depends on what options are on the truck. If it is a premium without KDSS I would say it's an average price.

Even though the thread title is misleading you can see what people have been paying for multiple 5th gen models from 2014 to 2016 here ->

I negotiated $40,500 for a new 16 Quicksand TRD Pro with all the options including tray and running boards and mats. Got to the dealership and couldn't buy it without a sunroof plus the color I was unsure of at the time...(kind of regretting it now but I do like having a sunroof and use it all the time).
I bought a 16 White Trail Premium With KDSS and Remote Start. Also got exhaust tip, wheel locks, and cross bars too. Here is my deal:
$38,500
I got $14,000 in Trade-in for my 06 Limited V8 w Nav that had 140k miles.
1.79% finance interest rate 60 months
I could have waited for one without KDSS and saved more but I was maybe a bit impatient.
I feel like maybe the TRD Pro I passed on was a better deal (I got them up to 14k on my trade as well)...
This is the lowest they would go and he said that one of the managers was upset about it (I don't really trust car salesmen though but seems pretty solid because they paid a lot for my trade than most other dealers offered).

The robust sales and demand for the 4Runner limits discounts on these vehicles. If you want to know if you "got an OK deal" just take the MSRP and subtract between 5 and 7 % and then add your tax, title and license and any dealer doc fees. If your deal falls in that range you did fine. Regional differences may make that hard to get but in general on this vehicle, with limited discounts, 5-7% off is a fine price. The TRDP is a bit of an exception but they can be found for $2000 off in certain regions (though I understand that in some they are MSRP or above). I have seen used 2015 models commanding near new prices (if negoitaing 7% off) so this target seems pretty reasonable and fair for a new 4Runner.

Anything 2-4K off msrp is great. Also depending on region.

If you are asking everyone in general what they paid , there is already a thread for this. If you are directing this to SoCal people, then I can help. I was very particular with what I wanted. I wanted white, hood scoop and it MuST come with a sunroof. I love the look of the TRD Pro but sunroof is not an option. So I went with a white trail premium that I waited 6+ months for. I even came across a used white Trd Pro with 23k miles for about 39k. To each their own, but I felt that I would be settling as the TRD Pro didn't come with a sunroof. Needless to say, I paid $40k for mine. I could've gotten the same TP in silver for a couple thousand off. But white is what I wanted. Sure, I could've found a better deal, but I was tired of waiting and wanted to hit the trails ASAP. If you can find one under $40k like some do, I consider that a steal.

I was told 5% over invoice is a great deal. So that's what I went in and got my TE for which in Canada comes with sunroof, leather, nav, running boards, etc etc.
For me it was almost 4K off msrp. Really wish we could get trd pro up here though

My old man got one in Barcelona red with mats, remote start, running boards and the sunroof (not sure if this is standard) for 37,500 in Texas last month.
