I searched the name, it popped up with a couple mentions but not much. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm wondering how useful it really is. I'd be interested in hearing first hand experience about which modules can be accessed and how much in the way of coding and adaptions it will actually let you do.
$40 for the dongle and $20 for the software seems like a good deal if it's really comparable to Techstream but without the hassle of the knock off compatibility problems.
your best bet is probably to look thru the club lexus forums. a lot of them over there use it and from I remember the techs from the app are over in the forums a lot more than here.
good luck.

I just received the carista module today and have only started to use the paid app for it but so far so good. I just turned off my seatbelt chime and took a few screenshots of other options you can change.
I haven't confirmed it yet but it looks it does. Check their site to make sure it's compatible with the make you are trying to use it for but I would assume you get the full rights to the software in the app.
The Carista app does not seem to do much in regards to monitoring vehicle stats so I plan to buy OBD fusion ($10) for that.
I got that app a while ago, it was only a one time purchase not a subscription. Some of the options I tried setting didn't seem to take effect, but some of the other options did. It lets you change settings on various vehicles, some makes/models allow you to do more changes than others.
As for the code scanning feature, it also lets you read the ABS codes too. (Helpful if you're getting dash lights right after a lift installation.) The other apps I tried wouldn't read those codes.
Does it let you disable the stupid seatbelt chime? That is all I really care about. The rest is icing on the cake. Stupid dealers will not change the setting, claiming legal liability. I'm an adult and an American, I dont need or want the govt telling me how I should be reminded to put my belt on, or much else for that matter.

I'm interested in this also. Particularly, I want to know if the "Windows and Sunroof open" option works if you hold the unlock button. Had that in an Acura and thought it was cool.
So I have confirmed the seatbelt chime is off. The wife swore I was trying to kill her when I told her to take off her seatbelt while we were driving in a parking lot so I hope you are all happy. I'm gonna try the Windows tomorrow and report back.
So I got it all working. Windows down with remote long press and windows up and down with the key in the door. I don't have a sunroof so I can't comment about that but pretty safe bet they are all tied to the same system so it should work.
