My dome light is flickering pretty badly SOMETIMES. I thought it may be because it wasn't a great fit in the hole.

This thread makes me believe it's on the way out, even being only a few weeks old.

Can anyone confirm?

I'm the OP and I have had zero problems with these Fyre Flys LEDs. They fit much better than the yitamotor set I had previously in the dome and the cargo areas.

Hope that helps!

@mbumpus11 thanks again! stole the premise for your mudflap filler idea and now i'll probably follow your footsteps on this one too.

purchased the overpriced Precision LED kit about 5 months ago. the 2nd row dome light and one of the tailgate lights are already flickering. and as u mentioned the 6000K are little too blue.

also it appears Fyre Flys is only a couple miles north of me!

Yeah! Tell Allen that I told you about them when you go/talk to him! He'll let you pick them up in person to prevent having to ship and subsequent delay. You can see all his gadgets, too. His shop is out of his garage and everything is right there ready to go.

Glad to know you liked the mud flap removal as well. I think it's a clean alternative and covers all we need it to to prevent nasty build up without proper hole coverage.

Will be contacting my CC company for a refund. Don't know what's going on, but this is not good.

Did you get a tracking number? I had a package sent that went from Houston to Hawaii then to Las Vegas where the post office said it was un-deliverable as addressed and was being returned and then showed up the next day. (completely a USPS screw up)

But even with all that, I still had in within 2 weeks. He did return my emails through ebay, and my call when I tried to ask about one of the bulbs on the first order.

Philips is nice quality but it doesn't seem to put out much light due to the frosted lens. I've seen people remove the lens to help this but not sure if this can be done with the dome light.

Philips makes a "Extreme Vision" bulb as well. Haven't seen too many people install this type yet.

UPDATE:

Got through to, and spoke directly to Allen and he apologized for the confusion.

He explained that internet orders paid with a credit card sometimes get mired down on his system, something he has been trying to fix. He said he'd ship them out priority, which I thanked him for, but was unnecessary. I'm sure the profit is small on something like this, and although it's appreciated, I can wait for them to come in regular mail.

I will report back once they are installed.

I was sufficiently underwhelmed by the Phillips 3175 and 921s to try something else. I went with the JDM astars off Amazon and am 100% satisfied.

The 194 extreme brights were too bright for my map lights. I put them in the doors and they are perfect there. I asked for something less bright, which they had, and they are perfect for the map and vanity lights.

The super bright, but not extreme bright, 3175s are perfect for the dome light and tailgate lights.

So far, I am very pleased with the JDM Astar products.

I am sure others might have a similar or even better product, but I am happy with mine.

Do you have a list of which bulbs fit in each area? Does the license plate area need a different type of bulb?

How long have you had the JDM Astars?

so the precision lights aren't worth it? Did they send you replacement bulbs or no?

No list. Sylvania/Osram's site has an application guide.

Interiors are 168/194 size and 3175.

Didn't change the license plate bulbs and I won't. I don't care for my plates to be easier to read.
