That sounds kind of similar to the problem that I am experiencing. Is it a straight up thumping noise or does it sort of sound like a grinding or gear noise?
After many trips to the dealer and them not finding anything, I did more research on my own and found what I believe is the problem, play in the front diff gears. There was a TSB posted for 2010 models that perfectly describes it, maybe it applies to your 2011 as well. It is T-SB-0175-10.
