Yellow sticker in door jamb ? (Factory modifications)

First time washing today and found this...
Have the same exact sticker in 2011 Tacoma that came from the dealer with a lift and bigger wheels and tires...
But I thought this 4Runner I just got was just a regular SR5 with no kdss, it's on 265 still, what's the sticker implying ??

If you were in the SE, I'd assume it was one of SE Toyota's retarded wheel, interior, grille, and tire packages they market as a separate 4Runner model line.

Either way, it's cosmetic mods and they feel the need to tell you that your GVWR is off by a statistical improbability.

It's a marketing tool…Toyota is getting ready to sell us the special Nitro-Helium mixed gas air upgrade for your tires that improves cargo load by 6kg per tire at a cost of $25 per sq inch of air… or something like that.

Yep I'm almost certain its because the 3rd row seat hardware adds about 12lbs to the truck, reducing its load carrying capacity by as much.

Actually, I just went out to check mine and it's lowered by much more - 45lbs. KDSS I wonder?

I forget who added that to my truck but it was when I went from P rated tires on 20" wheels to C rated LT tires on 17" wheels. I've ignored, but just assumed it was because of the factory pressure recommendation relative to the load bearing of the LT tires.

Doubtful, my truck didn't get that sticker until I changed tires two years in and I have third row.

Interesting. I'll weigh those decorations (a.k.a running boards) when I get the sliders put on.

Have it on my TE no kdss w no running boards. First mod might be to remove the sticker to enhance my load carrying abilities.
