Icon 52700 rear springs

For those who are running Icon 52700 2" rear springs, how much did the lift yield and did it settle down?

I was thinking that 2" rear springs would yield 2" of lift but from some threads i read, some received 3"?

I ended up with an EXTRA INCH!

I really wanted more like 1.5 to 2"; but I ended up with 2.5 - 3". Kinda chasing my tail to reduce rake. 2015 TE with KDSS. Nothing in the back. But the ride is great and it feels awesome off road.

Ended at 2"

With those springs I started off at about 3".
2k miles in and added a roof rack and it's settled down at 2" with a full tank of gas.

I can tell you mines did not yield a 3" lift. My fronts are 2.5, it did settle after week and when fully loaded it seems to dip down in the back. It makes me wish I went with the 3" lift. The ride is perfect and smooth in the back but my 6112's up front are maxed at 2.5 and seems to ride a little stiff. I am happy with the lift.

Are you on the 5th notch for the 6112s to be max at 2.5"? Most, myself included avg a 2.5" lift on the 4th notch. I'm planning to raised to the 5th notch to match my Icon overland. If you are indeed max out, you most likely don't want the 3" icon. There's a lot of variables with the 2" lift. From having the base vs limited or non 3rd row vs 3rd row. I was afraid the 2" icon was going to sag with my 3rd row and extra weight so I decided on the 3".

Yikes, yeah I am on the 5th notch and I was debating on the 2 and 3 inch ICON's because like you said the 3rd row. I talked to the shop that was selling them I think downhillsports from California and they said the 3 inch would've been too much. The 2 Inches were stiffer than stock and would be enough but I think the 3 inch would've been the right height. It did even out the lift and happy with it but when I pack it that is the concern. Thanks.

Thanks for the responses guys!

I was hoping to only run 1.75 of lift in the front and 2" in the rear, but it looks like that may not happen, for a while at least.

@davester00 - do you have any pictures of your lift pre-settle and post?

Maybe Ill load the rear of my 4runner up with a bunch of concrete bags?

Before and After

First pic is 500 miles into the lift.
Second pic is 2000 miles post lift and final alignment/adjustments + rack.
The second pic is a little more leveled out.
Put about 2-3K miles on the truck maybe more if it's all pavement driving then do your final adjustments.

Are you wishing you would have done the Ivón 3” springs combined with 6112’s at the highest setting?

When I installed my Kings and ICON coils i preloaded about 2" to level out my rig. I already had my GOBI (65lbs), ARB awning (35lbs) and my BudBuilt Sliders (about 155lbs). I recently got my Wilco tire carrier so w/ my BR6 and 285 pats, I added an extra 141 lbs of tongue weight. Also add the 100lbs for the 3rd row and my weight I was carrying daily about 640lbs. I was sagging in the back (Cali lean).

So i recently upgraded to Dobinsons 701V. I got the height and got a little rake to account for my daily weight, my family's weight and accommodate additional weight for overlanding.

Moral of the story, depending on what you're planning to do with your rig in the near future (add sliders, roof rack, tire carrier, RTT, batwing awning, armor, steel bumpers, etc.) you may want to get a coil rated for a heavier load. I bought and installed my ICON 52700s in March 2020 and I recently removed/upgraded them in Sep 2020.

I don't have a picture of the before, but here is my after pic with the Dobinsons 701v.

**also, if you raise the rear keep in mind you may need to upgrade your panhard (prevents lateral movement for the axel)bar or get a Panhard Correction Kit (PCK).

You're still on stock rear bumpstops? Ever consider upgrading? I'm on Icon 2" rear springs too... gobi rack and c4 sliders. Installed my kings this past weekend along with the Lexus GX bumps so they're OEM toyota lol

Still on OEM bumpstops. I'm now on Dobinson's 701V at 3" lift in the rear so i'm up a little more. I will eventually upgrade.

Did you do the track bar/mount mod/upgrade?

I just installed the Icon 52800 (3") springs and I can tell the rear axle is shifted to the right.

I'll drive it around like this to let the springs settle and go from there.

How heavy are you? 52800 won't really settle as much as the 52700 unless you're actually heavy
