Also my plan down the road. I will be interested in hearing what you land on when the time comes. I agree on enjoying the set up for now since I just installed the 5100's/spacer recently.

But I’m not in a hurry, and have much more research to do on it first.

Is your rear suspension stock or replaced witj Bilstein too?

I replaced all four shocks with Bilstein 5100 at the same time. I doubt it would have made a huge difference even if I hadn't, but I figured why the heck not since I was already popping things off to install the spacers.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered Bilstein 5100 front. I might get the cornfed and leave the rear stock.

There would be no need to hold off on an alignment until replacing the rear shocks, would there? I plan to do front 5100s and rear spacer only at first.

No, I wouldn’t hold off. Any time you mess with the front suspension, most will tell you to get an alignment done as well. Even if it drives straight, usually good to get it done anyhow.

Awesome. Thank you! Adding the rear shocks shouldn't change things to where I would need another alignment either, correct?

This. I luckily was able to get it in the next day and had only driven 20 miles prior to the alignment. My tires would have been roast had I had held off from getting the alignment.

Confused

Ok so I know this has been asked here million times, but the more I read the more I am confused, so I will go ahead and ask the question again.

I have 2014 TE. Ordered 5100s Bilsteins for all 4 corners as well as TRD pro rims (springs and everything else is OEM). I am looking to do the install next week and will be running original tires for now.

My 4runner is sitting 34.5" in the front (measured from level ground to the top of the fender) and 37" in the back.

I just want to have it leveled. Online it says that the highest setting on the front Bilsteins provides 2.5" lift, so how come you guys are saying that with the highest settings it will have a reverse rake (34.5 + 2.5 = 37 no??)?

I am not sure what the heck I'm missing, but one thing for sure is that I want to do this once and get it right. I can put rear spacers on while at it, but really would prefer not to do that.

Sorry for being a rookie and appreciate the help.

With the 2.5 setting, your fenders will be level, but the body will have reverse rake.

So I am best of going with the 3rd setting (1.75") in front and nothing in the back for more leveled look?

As previously noted earlier in this thread, the consensus seems to be:

for Bilstein 5100's all around:
.85 front, no lift rear
1.75 front, 1" spacer in rear
2.5 front, 1.5" spacer in rear

still haven't done mine yet, but I'm going to do the 1.75 front, 1" spacer in rear

This. You can get away with stock size tires with the first two options but I would suggest bigger tires with the highest setting.

.85 front and stock rear will still have slight rake...

1.75 front and stock rear will level your fenders but actually give you about 1/4 inch negative frame rake

1.75 front and one inch rear spacers will give you same rake as .85 front and no spacers, but lift the ENTIRE truck up a little thereby giving you a slightly lifted look (see my pics)... Still okay to use stock tires IMO.

2.5 front with stock rear will definitely give you negative rake (think off-road racing truck)

2.5 front with one inch rear spacer will give you the fairly level look, but LIFTED, thereby probably making the stock tires look a little small

2.5 front with 1.5 inch rear spacers will yield a little normal rake with a nicely sized lift... Def make the stock sized tires look (too) small.

Wouldn't recommend doing any 2.5 front settings without considering going to larger tires... But that's just my 2 cents...
