I’m still on it guys. Sorry it was the matting connector that I ran into. Absolutely no one makes it.

Anyway I have had some made and have gone thru a couple version. I think I’m finally locking it down the latest version. I’ll report back in 2-3 weeks. Or look me up on the frame under @dr_kdss ( no dr doesn’t mean doctor. It’s my initials Only KDSS w/lift need apply).




The back cap is so that the pins can be locked down. It’s pretty cool design.

Wondering if anyone has been able to find a good aftermarket skid plate that is compatible with the kdss? The oem one that comes on the Pro is not compatible....

KDSS TRDOP - I haven't pulled the trigger on skids, but my list has LFD and RSG for steel, or RCI if I go aluminum.

PRO skid works with a little cutting. I bought one during the big TRD sale a couple years ago so it was pretty cheap. If I was paying full price, I'd look elsewhere.

Blackgate is now selling the KDSS kit. Just received the notification email and ordered the kit with the blue AOB switch. Should have it in a week or so, will report back

it plugs in to the module on the outside of the frame rail...PASSSS.


DOM has a better setup coming to market soon. All interior plug and play. He designed the blackgate one originally but tested it and found it could have issues being outside like that. than he left blackgate lol

Agreed. Not interested in the exterior install. DOMs looks like a great and easy install and will cost much less…

Any testing done? How is the KDSS piston holding up for >12MPH off-roading switched off?
