That is cheating with those small hands..
How many miles did did you put on yours before the change. I feel they can go well over 100k without needing to be changed. 100k is when I start thinking about it. Not sure why, but toyota was still putting copper plugs in the tacoma up until the 3.5L.

If I read the maintenance guide correct, it calls for the plugs to be changed at 120k. I will probably change mine at 60k (52k currently on my 5th gen) just for the fact that I don't like leaving plugs in an aluminum head that long.
FWIW, I forgot to change the plugs on my 4th gen at 120k (30k intervals) and instead changed them at 150k. Even with 60k (twice the recommended mileage) the plugs looked brand new and unthreaded easily.

The manual lists 120,000 miles or 144 months (12 years), whichever comes first. They are iridium-tipped plugs.

I'm almost at 115,000 miles.
Our Honda Odyssey has 120,000 miles and last week it suddenly began running rough. One of the plugs actually cracked and the ceramic broke at the electrode. The ceramic was completely gone on one side of the plug- the engine apparently ate it!
Never seen that before but it prompted me to change mine sooner rather than later.
You can see that plug here, at the top of my workbench- it's all black around the bottom...

Another reason I don't like leaving plugs in too long.
The ecoboost f150 I use to own would crack and/or eat the porcelain off a plug every 15k. Twice it also caused the coil pack to fail as well. I also believe this was a contributing factor why it started knocking and had excessive blow-by at 45k.

Cute post. Your daughter is precious.
Somewhere along the way...2012/2013, Toyota threw a bunch of emissions plumbing on top of the engine. That has to come off to get to several of the plugs.

Coming from a 2004 Tundra where they recommended changing plugs every 30,000 miles (every plug came out looking like they could run another 30,000 miles). If I wait until 120,000 miles before changing I won't be the one changing them... I'm going to let the dealership do it.

My '06 Avalon 2GR-FE engine calls for plug change at 120K as well. Waited until 162K to pull them. They looked damn near new. New set went in. I suspect that may be the last time I ever have to do that again.
