The open air fun of a Wrangler, but the build quality of a Toyota. Sounds like a win-win to me.

They definitely make the snorkel useless

The idea of them is great, and I have them on my '89 YJ with no carpet. On a $40k 4Runner, with a metric crap ton of electronics, carpet, etc... That's the useless I was referring to.

I am with ya. My goal is to never have to cross a river, doors or not. Most of the water we get into isn't anywhere near the doors. I just like the way they look and they are fantastic for off-roading. But I completely understand where you are coming from.

Nice work Like the idea.
To agree, lots of crap kicks kicked up on the side of this generation, more so than my 3rd gen.
I personally like the molded or cut/modded 1/4 doors you see mostly on early gen1's, keeps the crud out and allows more fording opportunity without floodage.

To be fair, if you put on tube doors you should have a good sense of both the terrain and weather you're going to encounter over the course of a day.

I think they'd be really cool on a nice day, but you'd have to be ok with a ton of dust inside the vehicle. Maybe in about 10 more years when it's not my daily driver. It's cool that you got this made though. Put them on a go enjoy them. It might be cool to put a lightweight skin on them too. You'd still have great visibility and slightly more protection.
