Question 2015 Trail Premium Non-KDSS Driver Side Lean

Hello,

I lifted my rig with the icon 2.5 coilovers and they were set at 2" from the factory. The driver side of my vehicle is roughly half and inch lower than driver even when parked in flat ground.

We adjusted both sides up to about 2.5" of lift and the driver side still leans. My question is this: why does the driver side continue to be lower, even with the coilovers adjusted and how can I correct it? The gas tank had less than a quarter tank.

It seems as if the adjustments we make to the coilovers don't lift it any higher or provide the same amount of lift that the passenger side has.

I know previous threads contain info in regards to kdss lean, but I don't have kdss. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

My non kdss TEP leaned 1" driver. Get to cranking the driver side Coilover. I ordered the icon spanners wrench but a long screwdriver or something similar can probably do it fine too. Lift truck first and loosen the set screw. I'd fill up tank and then level too.
Mine came at 14 threads showing. I put driver to 19

We already have it cranked two full turns on the driver side and only once on the passenger side. Is that normal? I just don't want to preload the coil too much and cause the driver side to be stiffer than the passenger side.

Thank you

Yes. You may need to lower passenger then. As long as you don't go over icons recommended preload you will be fine.

Yeah, it says don't go over 2" of exposed thread. I'm not even close to that, but it just seems so weird that both sides are so skewed and that even after adjusting, it doesn't seem to help. Gonna play around with it some more tomorrow.

No way man, only KDSS trucks can lean. It has nothing to do with your lift, someone must have put KDSS on when you weren't looking.

So what could be causing this then? I adjusted the passenger up one full rotation and the tire doest rub on the body mount. I also adjusted the driver side that same exact amount and it not only leans, but rubs on the body mount. Makes no sense to me.

You have to then keep going. It will eventually level out. Also remember to take the truck off the jack and drive up and down the driveway to compress suspension. Then measure and adjust as needed. It has to and will adjust just have to keep going. Try going back down 1 turn on passenger then going up 1-2 more on the driver. Make sure you drive it after each adjustment.

I have a question. I'm confused what causes this "lean". Does the 4R lean because most owners lift their runners? Or is it because Of the KDSS even without lift?

Joking guys, just joking.

All vehicles lean sometimes because the weight is never perfectly balanced. Factory springs are usually different on the front left and right to help compensate. Lift kits usually have the same springs on both sides, so you need to adjust the spring height to correct it. It is normal and has nothing to do with KDSS.
