Limited side skirts

I have a 3rd gen at the moment and I've been lusting after the 5th gen for a while now. My dilemma is that I prefer the overall package of the Trail but like the "completed" appearance of the Limited mainly because of the side skirts. Y'all gonna think I'm nuts wanting to do the opposite of most but has anyone added Limited side skirts to a Trail? What's involved in the swap? It seems the fender flares taper off slightly differently between the two and I'd assume they would also need to be swapped.

Yeah you are crazy. Otherwise it should be doable to reverse it, they won't line up correctly though. The front is less the problem than the rear because the door flares will be tighter than the rocker, so you'd need to figure that out. There are supports that bolt to the body under the rocker but I'd bet the holes are there for all models. The front cap would have to come off but the LE rocker would probably fit more easily up there.

Again the rear door flare not lining up is your biggest obstacle Id guess, you can replace those but not sure how that impacts the rear. I'd also bet you will find someone willing to make that swap with you on this site easily!

Ill give you everything you need for free (+ shipping) if after adding the skirt to your 5th Gen TRL, you permanently name it Caitlin.

A few of us with limiteds went the other direction so it's doable but in reverse. You would need to also change the bumpers to make it all align.

We did it because we wanted the full time 4wd and the better trail clearances.

But what feature of the trail do you want that can't be added to a limited with after market parts?
