Diff drop necessary for Lift spacers?

Looking at the Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift. Is a diff drop necessary for this? Pros? Cons?

I've tried searching but I'm coming up with a bunch of mixed answers and mostly for coilover kits.

Thanks for helping a newb out.

Not needed you will be just fine without it. It will lower then angle of your CV joints by a few degrees thus putting a bit less constant stress on them. I'm doing my lift in a couple weeks and won't be doing the diff drop yet.

The "dif drop" is not a drop at all. It is impossible to drop it on these truck. The kit simply lower one end of the diff slightly The net result is almost no change in the CV angles, but a change in the pinion angle on the driveshaft. The juice is simply not worth the squeeze IMHO.

I started to put one one and realized it was only going to cause more potentiality issues than benefit.

Look at your CV angles at stock height. Mine were almost inverted, i.e. the CV shafts were running uphill from the diff to the wheels. After the lift they look fine.
