plastic door sill wire race removal

On my 2016 was looking to run wire to the rear using the wire raceway at the bottom of the door opening. I can lift the carpet side of this plastic but on the painted side it feels like its screwed down.

do I have to remove the rocker plastic cover to remove screws holding it or ?

thanks for help.

Firmly pull up and the fasteners will pop out, then you should be good to go.

Yeah, don't worry about using too much force really. I've gone into that area so many times, and that thing has never broken, nor have any of the tabs. There's other areas where I'd be gentler, especially pulling out tabs, but those covers around the raceways are pretty strong.

I did it with less force after I kept the doors open so the sun heated up the plastic sill. pulled straight up and the plastic fasteners released from the metal holes in the rocker sill area.

my next question is how to remove the door light lenses ? looking to replace these with some LED'S.

thanks for all your help learning these simple tasks.

Look at the door lights, either to the front or the rear of the light, you should see that you can insert a small screwdriver or use you hand to push it forward or rearward (Can't remember which way) and the assembly will just come out. Change your bulb and done.

I got it off . the lens has an arrow on the inner side of the lens edge I put a very small screw driver in this edge between the lens and the door material it popped off easy. however getting that small bulb to remove was the most complicated bulb fixture I have even ran into .
