Trails of Moab
Looking for information on some of the trails/roads around Moab. Not interested in anything technical - just don't have the experience nor a spotter. Any of you have links or suggestions?
Thanks

Fins N Things and Chicken Corners are great starter trails and as long as you aren't an ******* you'll do fine without a spotter if you just take your time.
I'd also do White Rim if you have 2 days to camp.
ANY trail is technically hard if you drive stupid, but just review the trail damage rating, and then youtube some of the runs on said trails so you know what you're getting into.

So you're never going to take it offroad? Just go slow and pick the easy trails to work up a good understanding of how the vehicle and you perform off road, and go from there.
For FJ Summit I'm sticking to easier trails in favor of better views.

I highly recommend dropping into Shafer Canyon via Shafer Canyon Road (you could drive a minivan down this road if you wanted.) Then run out to Moab (town) via Potash Rd. I think its about 30-40 miles of dirt road driving. I never left 2wd. A few fun spots along the way. All depends on if there was a recent storm. Some of the best driving/views out there + No crowds. Maybe saw two vehicles on my drive. Would do it again. Even in a minivan if I had to.
Be sure to stop at the Island in the Sky Visitor Center and chat up one of the park rangers. They can point out hidden gems (hikes) along White Rim (Rd) and Potash Rd. Hidden arches and such that get just a few visitors a day. Also there are two or three camping spots along the that will make you want to stop for the night.

I agree with the suggestion for 'Fins n Things', I did it in my completely stock Trail Edition and it did well. Expect to drag the trailer hitch on a couple obstacles and just take it slow and you'll be good!
Heres a quick video of that trail I made: https://youtu.be/UpGUD0lHxDs

You'll drag a trailer hitch even with a lifted vehicle. It happens.

Thanks guys for the input!
The video is cool too. I think I would have puckered a bit on that rock slide! Not because of the slide, but bashing the front end. I mean, by the time I get to Moab, the Runner will have under 3,000 miles. Sure would be a bummer to come home with a "hero scar"!!

You can do Cameo Cliffs, Crystal Geyser, and Secret Spire.
Be smart how you drive, pick your lines carefully, and just have fun. If you're worried about a battle wound, whether your ride is new or used, then you probably shouldn't bother and just rent a Heep.

Gemini Bridges north of town is a nice run; mostly just gravel and sandy, but not too crowded and the bridges are way cool to walk out on.
Long Canyon is another pretty easy one, and allows you to drive under a cool rock. A good loop day trip is up Long Canyon to Deadhorse Point State Park (worth a stop), then over to Island in the Sky visitor center, and down Schafer trail and Potash road back to Moab. Your vehicle will handle those easily.
