2016 Trail Premium White or Magnetic Grey

Will be purchasing a Trail Premium for my wife soon. Having a difficult time deciding on the exterior color. My wife and I really like White exterior with TRD Pro wheels. Magnetic Grey is our second pick. Just worried about durability and maintenence of white color as it's a single stage with no clear coat. Would love to hear from folks that have 4Runner w/ white exterior paint if they have experienced any issues and if they have do it it all over again will they opt for white color again.

Who told you it's a single stage? Super White is base coat with a clear coat on top of that

I have white. I have some pinstriping and some highway rock chips. I don't think about any of it and just have fun with my truck.

I have a 2015 gray TP, color is great. I wanted a silver, but TPs were real hard to find. White is a pretty color, but I am not sure if I would like white with black interior, as all TPs come with black Softex.

A friend at work has a white SR5 with beige leather and it looks great.

I was in the same boat as you. MG was my first pick and SW was second. I tried to negotiate a deal for 6% off on a MG and the dealer was not doing it but 30 miles away a dealer got a SW and did the 6% off so I ended up with white. While white was my originally my second choice I actually prefer it now and that is not me just trying to convince myself I had a Dark Grey VW GTI that I traded in and I'm glad to have a color change. With a TEP, buy whichever is on the lot or whichever has the better deal. You really won't care once you are behind the wheel and enjoying it. Go to the Grey thread and you will love it. Go to the white thread and you will love it.

I like white and grey. Went with attitude black because the color match on the white was bad and the grey had really bad mottleing. But that is an old painters opinion. I am spending more time keeping the black clean though!

Usually, everything about me prefers gray over white. However, the blacked out trim on the Trail looks ridiculously good with the white. I added black TRD rims to complete the look and love it. In general I would never choose white over gray in a vehicle, but I'm glad I did this time.

I went with gray. Wanted white but after seeing a bunch of faded white Toyotas here in florida, i made sure to get the gray. But then again those cars were probably never waxed.

I went through the same thing, white or gray. Ended up with white because I think the contrasting on the white just looks better. can't go wrong either way though.

Grey was my first choice and I do love it. Although up here in the PNW seeing a white 5th gen is like seeing a unicorn, so having the rareness would be nice.

If you plan on pinstripes and trail scars, its Super White all the way.

I too went in to order mine in MGM, but when the salesman figured out what I would be using mine for sold me on Super White. One of the best decisions I've made with this rig.

Love the white, but I went with a silver they had in stock and added black TRD wheels. Love it. Living where I do, my OCD can't manage a darker colored vehicle.

I fell in love with the Stormtrooper look, so it was a no brainer for me. As far as the MGM goes, when I looked at them, all I could see was another boring grey vehicle in a sea of boring grey vehicles, so it was never a choice. Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll love your new truck!
