Im going to order up all of these parts.
The scooped hood completes the front end. Its fairly cheap overall.

Appreciate it! How was the install overall? I'm assuming you have to remove the inner hood liner etc?

Just checked into all this. Found all the parts at a slightly better price but the problem is there is a $250 freight cost on top of the parts cost. Total is $695.00 plus paint. That puts us right at the $1000 mark including paint for something that is purely cosmetic. That's the cheapest I was able to price out all OEM parts. Anyone else find parts cheaper including shipping?

Wondering, can you wrap the hood instead of painting it? Would that make the end cost cheaper?

Easy solution. Price match the hood at a local dealer, pay no shipping just tax (simple math about $40). Order everything else online and pay less then $20 for shipping and no tax.

Some dealers match, some don't. In my experience, majority of my local dealers do not care what parts cost online, they will not match and would rather lose the whole sale than make less $ on the parts. I think I'll continue to look for a used hood locally and have it painted to match since paint will be required anyway. That is unless I find someone willing to swap their scooped hood for my flat hood plus some cash.

You could, but I doubt that would be any cheaper. That and I personally don't like that look. I want all body panels to match.

You can also buy an aftermarket oem style hood and save money there. Or buy a used hood of a total loss vehicle hit in the rear or side and just have it repainted. There are options and work arounds, if you want it bad enough you will make it happen.
I ordered everything but the hood for $118 shipped.
I have multiple toyota dealers to call and check prices on the hood, im not even going to mention price matching. For all i know they sell the hood for about $400.

Aftermarket is not my style, not the same quality product. I will get it done one way or another. Just not sure exactly how as of yet.

Shipping something large where it has to be crated is a risky proposition. Back in the day I attempted to get a G body OEM roof for my Buick gn through a buddies body shop (another pos sunroof story). We managed to find one of the very few left in the country and the dealer back east said they'd crate it up, we offered to send money to have it done right they said they'd bill for it. Couple weeks later it showed up and the driver said "your not even gonna want this, so I didn't unload it" It was mangled. Good luck.
