Yeah absolutely I’ll post two photos here one closer and one further away. Still getting a hang of posting photos on this forum so if this doesn’t work I’ll have to edit the links.

Thumbs up

Bump. Any trail hoods out there looking to swap for a Linex’d flat hood?

Post above has photos for reference.

Ive got a 2019 Super white hood

Don't need a swap but I have a perfectly good NON scooped SR5 2019 Super white hood in Albuquerque, NM with very minimal rock chipping.

Id let it go for 100 bucks if someone is in need and wants to pick it up.

I'm looking to trade a non scooped silver hood for a scooped one. Normal wear and tear as it's on a 2017. Willing to add cash in addition as well. I'm in central Pennsylvania.

I have 2018 T4R SR5 Pre non scoop hood in (Super White) in great condition 9.5/10, I want to trade for a scoop hood. Willing to add cash on top if anyone wants to make this swap happen. Located in Central CA, I'll be willing to commute from Bay Area to SoCal if anyone's interested.

I saw a tacoma hood off a 2016 listed for sale that said it will fit 4runner as well. Are they the same? Thanks

I also just don't understand the desire for it. The last 4Runner I owned was a 2nd Gen in the late 90s/early 00s. Then I had a 2004 LR Discovery which I sold and picked up this new Trail. Neither needed a hood scoop.

When I first looked at the Trail on the dealer lot and opened the hood and saw the full liner I started laughing. I never thought it was with a purely cosmetic hood scoop. I guess when I used to see Tacomas on the road I assumed it was functional. I had no idea.

Here too. I don’t get non-functional hood scoops. It’s like putting those fake vents on the sides of front fenders.

I did mine in a matte but it is without a scoop but it definitely helps.

Honestly the hood is super easy to do yourself. Tons of YouTube videos for guidance. I just found a 5’x6’ vinyl piece on Amazon. Got a heat gun, squeegee, and knifeless tape. Depends on how much your quote is but might be worth doing yourself.

Ha! Yea, quote was $600. Checked out a few YouTube videos, priced the material online…..figured I can DYI four or five times and still come out ahead!

Thanks again for the post!

Got a magnetic grey scooped hood from my 2019 TRD ORP, looking to trade for a flat hood. Definitely "well loved", has some small rock chips and minor scratches but no dents. Currently in New Mexico, will be traveling up through SLC on my way to Billings then Seattle over the next few weeks, if you're anywhere along that path I will consider coming to you for the swap.
