Nils @ Bull Built Differentials did my locker install. Highly recommended by ARB USA themselves. Quick turnaround time too. He'll be doing all my re-gearing and front locker in the near future.

Some pics of the install:

BTW, if anybody is curious the 5th gen uses ARB part# RD193 8.2"

The tricky part about the 5th gen rear is that there is barely any clearance to get the copper airline around. You have less then 1/4" of clearance and you have to bend the copper line correctly into shape before you drop the unit back in.

Hit up some trails before work and the system worked flawlessly. I drove miles with the compressor on and never once did it have to re-cycle. It held constant pressure. Love how this system will engage/disengage with a flip of the switch. My buddies with their e-locker tacos/4runners takes a bit moving and wiggling on the trail before they engage.

The locker necessary for me? Absolutely not, 4LO+ATRAC has never let me down but I can definitely see how a rear locker can be useful in certain situations where ATRAC would have some difficulty powering through. The locker will just crawl over the obstacle. Another good thing about the ARB unit is that is replaces the whole stock carrier. It is milled from a solid piece of metal instead of cast oem. It is a stronger design to handle trail abuse.

I'll most likely do a front locker along with 4:56 gearing in 2017. Upgrade to some 305s!

Perfect vehicle as it stands for northern Nevada terrain. Keep it stock - it'll go most anywhere as is.

Thank you. Just trying to do upgrades that will enhance the off-road capabilities(when needed) but still keep it civilized as a daily driver.

I do want a steel bumper though!

Bought the Addicted Offroad 2014 prototype steel bumper just now. Will be going to pick up another '14 bumper to cut up. Will keep my factory bumper just in case I want to go back to stock.

Very well done on the rear locker. It'll be nice to see this thing with 295's.

Scored a bumper and all the extra trim pieces. Going to get the jigsaw ready and hopefully get a straight cut. Thanks Mistaken!

All clean for this garage shot. Going to miss having that extra filler plate. Will be a total PITA to remove that TRD Pro garnish to transfer it to another bumper.

You might have mentioned it somewhere, but what happen to your current bumper?

I purchased an Addicted Offroad Bumper. Instead of cutting up my original bumper I bought a used bumper to cut up and paint. I'm going to attach the TRD garnish onto it. The steel bumper won't allow me to use the RCI filler plate.

Trying to buy my RCI filler plate?

This is ManhstuhT4R T4R with the Addicted bumper.

Measured 4x, sharpie, and taped my cut line. Will take it through a jig saw and a fine blade tomorrow.

Gotcha. Smart thinking. That's one sexy looking bumper.
