Infidel Garage Roof Racks

We stand for quality, strength, service and affordability.

Racks are built to order. They are bolt on and completely customizable. Half racks to full length racks. Add lights, wind deflector, crossbars for RTTs (roof top tents), mounts for jacks and tools, removable sunroof sections and more.

They can be shipped anywhere or installed if you are local.

Check out our FB page for more info and pricing. https://www.facebook.com/InfidelGarage/

Jon
Infidel Garage Owner/Operator

The first of the 5th Gen racks had been installed since July with good customer reviews.

This one was built with removable cross bars for mounting kayaks or an RTT. The bolts in the back are for mounting a high lift jack and serve as extra tie-downs.

You have a nice rack lol. I like the crossbar idea. Any plans for a wind deflector in the front?

I really like that. And the pricing is amazing.

What's the lead time? Would a Gobi or Baja Racks ladder work with it?

Damn you internet for spending my money!

@JON rack looks good! How is it mounted to the roof? Is it similar to the Gobi with the double sided tape feet up front and bolted to the stock roof rack points?

Get ready for another Gobi law suit. If only Gobi made their product better, cheaper and faster... then there wouldn't be a market for startups like this rack. But no, they're content to sue and meanwhile I'm waiting over 12 weeks for mine because I didn't see this first.

Sadly they essentially won because I'm inpatient and wanted a rack now and I was under the impression that the lawsuits were causing delays for the new comers.

I'm always up for supporting the little guy. I wonder what their patent is exactly, mesh lined roof racks? It's almost like the Yeti vs Rtic/Ozark/other tumblers lawsuits.

I'm pretty sure one of the link I posted before has the specifics, but if memory serves they have a patent on the idea of an aftermarket bolt on roof rack. There for anything replaces a stock roof rack may be subject to patent infringement. I hope I'm wrong on that because it would allow Gobi to stifle the market

If you read their facebook site, the guy(s) seem pretty aware of the practices of Gobi and seem to be doing whatever they can to stay away from copyright infringement. It's a shame a company has to do that when it's something as simple and utilitarian as a roof rack but such is life I suppose.

Patent filed in 2005 for a "multi-purpose storage rack on a sport utility vehicle," as though this was their idea? Thanks, *******s, for making it clear what products not to buy.

I remember that entire Gobi incident and forum cover-up. I wouldn't recommend that company of bullshitters to anyone.

In other words, I really wanted a Whitson but those stains of you-know-what ruined it.

So does the front of the rack just float above the cab?

I'm curious to see what their turnaround time is on their racks. This is exactly the style of rack I want but I'm unwilling to wait for Camelback and have no interest in doing business with Gobi.
