Update: Wrong Gen Thread. Apologies.

Great post and very thorough approach. I too am looking to just do the 5100s @ 0.85 front on my 09 SR5 with 0.0" rear. The rake really is awful.

The biggest question to me is how do other "parts" of the truck fare? I have am not mechanically inclined (no pun intended) with anything related to auto work. Are brake lines an issue? Do you have wear problems on other suspension components?

I am not looking to do anything other than the 0.85's on the front. May keep the OEM on the back or maybe change, not really concerned there.

Any and all thoughts, experiences, and insights into this would be greatly appreciated.

As a side note, if some really smart person were to pick a gen and model type, and go through what is required for each lift option (the major ones that us newbies look for) that would be great. For instance.... If you want to raise the fronts to 2.5 with the 5100s on a 09 SR5, these are the modifications you need to do to ensure suspension reliability and "normal" wear. I could do this but unfortunately I'm an electrical engineer and suck mechanically. (not meaning to mess this great thread up)

Thanks in advance.
Steve

Reviving an ol Thread because this post, really jacked w my head when trying to figure out exactly what setting I should set my 5100’s to....on the fronts to level my rig.....as I was leaving the rears; stock height

The boys at Off Road Warehouse in San Diego assured me; 1.75” or One click down from the top was the leveling I was looking for and what they do all the time.
So install’d and balanced.... Wa-La!

After, I tape measured and the rears are 3/4” higher than the fronts with the 1.75” Bilstein 5100‘S setting

I had them install all four and couldn’t be happier with the ride. Exceptional upgrade
