Roof rack delete

Oh yes I did. Realizing that I will never really use a roof rack and wanting to make my truck unique I decided to remove the factory roof rails and close up the holes with some shorter bolts and rubber washers. The Gobi stealth rack with the ladder looks awesome but it's just not a useful mod for me at this time. There are enough people running around with roof racks and yeti coolers that don't really need them. It kinda reminds me of an older landcruiser look, and I have yet to see anyone else do it. 2" toytec TRD lift is next.

I really like the monochromatic look of a white TRDP, and removing that rack compliments it nicely.

Dang, I want a set of those wheels - I'm just too cheap.

My BP is my first ever white vehicle, and my next 4R will be too. Sooo easy to care for.

Thanks for that link, I'll read through it after I'm done carving pumpkins for grandkids.

I'm a little concerned that they are not hub-centric though ... and I don't need/want wider tires, just bought new Michelins.

you'd have to check with FN, I know they can be had for $275 per here in Canada. they're new though, not even on the FN site yet.

also here apparently, missed this one when it was current I guess.

According to FN, the bore on these is 106mm, making them hub centric. The 8" width also isn't so much that you would need to go beyond a 265 either

Meh, I could go either way. Rack on, rack off.

Yours looks fine to me. I like mine too (powder coated in exactly the same color and texture as the end caps).

Its all personal taste. :-)

I just used the existing ones from the stock roof rack bolts and opened them up a tad. Jono added some very helpful links at the top of this thread using OEM parts. Thanks for the feedback guys.
