I'm too lazy since it's a thousand degrees outside in Phoenix right now. However, as others suggested don't cut the tab. Try hammering it flat (bending it up) and see if the KDSS skid will fit.
See the photo under the step "Remove the two 12mm bolts holding the small KDSS skid plate". That tab between the two bolts at the top of the photo is the tab in question. I had just cut it level with the body of the KDSS skid removing it completely.

Great information. Really nice sliders; this post will probably be the motivation I needed to finally bust out my credit card. And the under carriage of your truck is insanely clean.

When I ordered mine on 9/14, the lead time was 6-8 weeks.

That's correct, current lead time is still 8 weeks.

Thanks for the write up and the tip on the wood shims! That worked like a charm.
My own tip, use a thread tap for the two bolts on the passenger side without existing threads. For the two self tapping bolts, I had to use a 3/8”-16 thread tap to get them to screw in. They wouldn’t tap themselves. No worries though, but might be worth mentioning in the instructions.
Love these sliders. They look amazing.

Interested in getting the RCI sliders with the kick out. Stuck on the 5* vs 20*. I will be putting a RTT up top so I definitely want the rear kick out but not sure the angle. Not really planning to use the sliders as steps other than the RTT access as mentioned however I will be getting an ICON stage 7 suspension upgrade in the near future. Thoughts?

Well if you arent concerned about using it as a step (other than accessing the RTT), just get which looks best to you. Technically the Angled sliders slide easy along rock (as intended) so if you intend to crawl alot, consider getting those.

I see people getting super involved in putting these sliders on.
I put some RCI sliders on a week ago. No jack stands, no wedges, etc.
Just used my body to hold up the slider, went on perfectly fine.
KDSS side is no big deal, just pry the mount clip a bit and move the slider in place. Grab a bolt and put one in the hold the slider and repeat on the other side.

Not really going to be rock crawling at all; just your occasional trail hick-up but if the need arises I want to be able to protect the asset! What I really don't want is to just have the same look as the original running boards on there now but I also want to make sure the misses can get in and out without 'too' much of a hassle.
