I bought the Utility flat rack without the sunroof opening because I have no sunroof and I didn't like all the potential rust spots on the welded mesh floor. Mine has cross bars at about 4" on center that make tying down loads really easy. The cross bars top out about 1/2" above the side rails allowing you to wrap a rope around the rails even when it's loaded with plywood. I hauled 6 sheets of plywood yesterday for a project on my casanotsogrande and it was a breeze tying down the stack of about 240# of wood. 4x8 foot plywood hangs out the back a few inches and over each side about an inch or so. I've hauled lumber like 2x4s and 2x6s before too and it's easy to tie down. Equally good for camping gear.
It may be easier to attach awnings and other accessories too.
