Stereo Enhancement Module
I have searched numerous ways here as well as good ole Google and can not find the thread.
There was a mention about a plug in unit for the factory head that added some features to the factory head. NOT the Entune, this was for the early 5th Gens.
Anyone.....?
Thanks all..

I don't recall ever reading about this, granted I don't follow much of the audio threads I upgraded my stereo with KM2's
hopefully someone else can chime in with a more concrete answer

Thanks,
No I am familiar with those. This was something new that was a rework on the actual OEM unit. It was discussed in an unrelated thread a month or so ago and I can not find it.

Hi Knight Runner,
To be totally honest with you there are limitless gimmicks on the aftermarket to take peoples hard earned cash e.g., modules (chips) that claim to generate more power under the hood, super concentrated combustion booster, that will develop H.P. rivaling some of the top fuel dragsters; that we all enjoy seeing blowing both the heads right off the block... fascinating! And don't think that this phenomenon isn't already on the market in the car audio aftermarket... it's always been!
You have choices. You can run your stock HU through a parametric EQ/X-over network! Or you can change those $4.95 dollar factory speakers from front to rear... NO, that's not a choice; just change them. Add a sub to the existing sound; what stereo sounds good w/o a sub(?)! But "PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE GIMMICKS" none of them work and you'll be right back here discussing what to do now that you've blown your budget "Best to you ALL"

I got some added features like actual vehicle tire pressure and various other engine and battery info by changing out the HU. I haven't changed out the speakers but they sound better for now.

Not a plug-in or module, but could you be thinking of this?
