My fiancé had her brand new 2016 Civic stolen where she works from (right from the office never found) and I work 2 minutes away in the same corporate area... We have had a car stolen here and some other cars lifted with the tires taken. It would be nice to find it if it goes missing.

I think out of all the posts in this forum there have been two cases of a 5th gen 4Runner being stolen. One left his keys in it and the other was loaded onto a flat bed if I remember correctly. The engine immobilizer pretty much makes stealing it with no key impossible except on the back of a truck.
I have heard of people buying a cheap phone and plan, leaving it in the vehicle and using the "where's my phone" app to track the vehicle. You can get basic plans really cheap.
