Questions about the inverter/power outlet in the cargo space...

I'm trying to figure out if I can use a specific Lithium battery charger with the inverter/outlet back in the cargo space.

Here are the charger specifications:
Questions about the inverter/power outlet in the cargo space...-screen-shot-2016-12-29-5-40-18-pm-png

Here is the vehicle info I've pulled the the forums:

Maximum available capacity of the inverter/power outlet
■ While the vehicle is being driven the maximum capacity of the power outlet is always 120 V AC/100W.
■ When the vehicle is stationary the maximum capacity of the power outlet varies depending on the position of the shift lever.
● The maximum capacity is 120 V AC/100 W when the shift lever is in any position other than P or N.
● The maximum capacity is 120 V AC/400 W* when the shift lever is in P or N.
* Maximum capacity of 400 W can only be restored by turning the power outlet main switch off and then on again with the shift lever in P or N.

So from what I'm gathering, and if my brain is working right, I'd be ok @ maximum capacity of 400 W, with the shift lever in P or N, as far a meeting the charger specifications. But I have ZERO idea on how I might verify the Inverter's Output Frequency, Voltage Range or Efficiency?

Any thoughts?

What kind of batteries are you charging? It is very inefficient to go DC to AC to DC, can't you get a charger that takes 12v input?

You can't verify frequency without a scope or frequency meter that will measure 60 cycle range. You can however plug an incandescent (not CFL) light bulb into the socket and see what it looks like. At 50 cycles you might be able to see it flicker. At 60 you shouldn't.

I think you will be fine, what they "recommend" and what will work are two different things. My fridge is UL listed at 6A, but I don't believe it pulls that much, and it's on the inverter for now. I UL certify control panels at work and they don't use even close to what we are required to put on the schematic. Try it out and report your results.

Charger:
» C750 Rapid Battery Charger | Oregon Cordless
Battery:
» B650E 6.0 Ah Battery Pack | Oregon Cordless

They don't offer a 12V input. So I'm looking to see if I can use the 120V if/when needed.

I don't think the factory inverter is pure sine wave, but I may be wrong

I bet you are right. I'm seeing a lot of speculation that the factory inverter is not pure. But I can't find any confirmed data or specifications on the factory installed parts.

To find out what the sine wave looks like you will need a scope.
