What is this microphone/speaker under my driver's seat - 2016 SR5

I was vacuuming my car last week and noticed this thing under my driver's seat which looks like a microphone. It is just laying loose and I can't tell what it is connected to as it runs under the carpeting. I have a 2016 stock SR5. Thanks.

With a user name like Lawless, maybe the FBI? I have a 2016 SR5 and do not have that under my seat.

It must be a microphone as it is only connected through a small wire. I unclipped it and below is a closer image. There is sticky tape on the back but it was just laying on the floor. Is this the microphone to the entune hands free dialing or voice activation? If so, why is it under my seat and not in a better location? I can't tell what it was connected to without removing the carpet. Is there a way to do that?

There are no aftermarket products on this at all. I bought it new from a local dealership and it had base options. Do you guys really not have this in your cars? Where is the entune microphone located?

It definitely looks like a mic for an artermarket hu. I'd have some questions for the dealer.

ETA: oem mic should be in the overhead console

And now that i added a helpful post, time for my original theory...

It could be a fart sensor... does the rear window automatically roll down when you let one rip?

I run it back to the yota dealer bought from and ask them... hands free mic is not under the driver seat.

Found what it was connected to after pulling out all my trim and weather stripping. This must be that sensor the reverse sensor that beeps whenever my rear bumper gets close to something. I always thought that came from the camera. So I am guessing what I pulled out is a speaker and not a microphone. Is this not stock?

Looks like you found it. Microphone, probably why it has high and low settiings. And no, not stock. What do your bumper sensors look like? Only limiteds came with the sensor AFAIK.

Judging by the pic in post #11, there has been an aftermarket backup sensor added, which means it's a speaker not a mic.
Let's have a pic of your rear bumper.

And no, it is not oem.

EDIT: If it works, keep it, I really like the feature on mine. (It was included with the Prem Pkg on '10s)
