I just grabbed the large yellow ones from Napa with the round end.
Not sure of the part number.

How did you manage to bolt that compressor down in there

Hey @Hamburgerpimp ...

Any chance I could bug you to shoot me a photo of how close the 4x4 Labs mount puts your compressor to the inside fender liner?

I was looking to use the same mount for a dual ARB, but then when I looked in my truck tonight, I saw there was a harness full of wires for the engine clipped to the liner with a plastic clip right where the bolts on your 4x4 Labs mount seems to go:

And so I'm wondering how you made it work? Did you break off the clip and route the wires some other way? Or was there enough room to drill a 4thn hole back in the mount to re-insert the clip?

I'm sure they are anchored there for a reason, and the ARB gets hot when in use ...

Thanks!

Hey thanks for the shot @SnoRnR .

See the picture I put right above your post ... there's a wire loom clip right where the Bandi mount appears to bold onto the side wall. What did you do there? Do you have to disturb the wire loom to do the install with the Bandi mount?

How did you mount your switch? It looks like it is in a housing. I have mine next to the compressor as well (just mounted this weekend) and looking for a more solid solution than just having the switch sitting there.

Google "project box"

I did the same thing, same location, same Bandi mount with a 1 gallon 4-port viair tank, for kicks added a IR pressure regulator at the coupler. 4 years now, zero issues

I got the switch mount ffom Bandi bolts straight to an existing hole in the fender inner wall.

Im sure I just unclipped the loom and tucked it under the compressor mount. Plenty of room under the mount if you are not using a tank.

I have a Off Grid Engineering battery mount in that location. You just pop off the clip and harness and put it out of the way. No issues after 2-3 years with that battery mount there.

I would recommend against the 4x4Labs mount. With only 3 points of attachment, it ended up ripping the inside sheetmetal by the strut attachment causing an annoying rattle and an inside fender to fix. I ended up adding to the mount to add an additional 2 mounting points which greatly strengthen the bracket.

Seriously? You had to replace the inside fender? Bet that cost a huge amount of dough with painting etc.

Every one I have found - 4x4, Bandi, LFD - only mounts in 3 locations (although they are all a bit different).

Maybe that's an argument to go with the single ARB vs. dual ARB ... it was less than half the amount.

Where did you add attachments? Can you add a photo for us?

I did not replace, but had to do some welding, which is not fun on metal thinner than a beer can

In the picture, the two attachment points circled in YELLOW, is where it tore the inner fender and in LIGHT BLUE was the 3rd attachment point. I added the bracket circled in GREEN, which has two additional mounting points at the bottom. The way it was set up originally seems to have created a lot of oscillating causing the issue is my conclusion.
