Thanks for sharing that friend - both the issue and your fix. Really appreciated. Definitely going to keep that in mind when I install one of them.

I've had it on the driver side on a rago mount which also only uses 3 screws w no problem, but I think it's a bit less cantilevered to your point.

Bumping an old thread.

Anyone has a detailed write up with ARB twin compressors mounted in the passenger rear side cubby? I saw @LOLSNOW did something really nice, but not really anything detailed.

If you bought a bracket for it, it kind of just bolts up.

Pull the airbox off prior. I did it without it, but it is only a few bolts and makes all the difference in clearance.

After that, you kind of just wire it up. The ARB harness is pretty good.

Plumbing the air lines is sort of up to you and your desired application.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought you were talking about under the hood.

Haha, all good. Post #22 is what I am referring too. That looks like a nice/clean setup. @LOLSNOW hasn't been active here for a minute.

I previously had a single ARB mounted under the hood. Have since upgraded to a twin, and have it mounted to the Rago rack in the rear cargo area. Works great. Real happy with the twin and the location.

For those of you mounting in the cargo area - is the sound bearable for passengers in the car while filling up tires?

SDoffroadMT makes great mounts, have the outlet running back to a manifold with the coupler located just beside the hood strut

Contact Derek at @sdoffroadmt on IG, for pricing and packages, I bought mine with a few add-ons and already had some of the blue seas accessories so it kinda depends on what all ya want to include with the mount.

Mine in the rear cargo area isn’t bad. I have kids, they usually elect to stay in the car vs getting out. With the rear hatch open it’s not terrible. I might be wrong, but I’ve perceived the twin to be quieter than the single. I’ve only had the twin mounted in this spot. I much prefer it to under the hood. Cooler, cleaner.

In all, the noise isn’t as bad as one might expect. And it’s a couple minutes brief, anyway (fill all 4 tires simultaneously).
