1/4" variance is not much at all. I give 1/4" variance on most of the springs for a 4Runner, especially now that some 5th Gen 4Runners are much older than others and have a lot more wear and tear. So if yours is a 2010 and you put these on, you may get 1", but a 2017 may only get 3/4", since the older model has already sagged and lost height since new.
The same thing happens with most older vehicles. The lift heights are based on new vehicles, not worn suspension, so it's not uncommon for a 2" lift coil to give 3" of lift over a worn out suspension.
You have a 2017, so you'd only be getting the 3/4" lift over stock.

I have put many thousands of miles on the full dobinsons system and I couldn't be happier with it. High speed, low speed, shit roads, speed bumps, handling characteristics, ride quality, all fantastic.
It is VERY well put together setup and is worth the money over the other comparable systems out there.
Thanks again Mike.

He said they're factory sized 265's, General Grabbers.

Has anyone used the 599 rear springs yet that only provide .75" of lift?

Has anyone done just this low lift front coil only and stock shocks? Would it be a stock-like ride quality? Would these not work for a KDSS vehicle, since the KDSS low lift is 1.25 (more than I would want) and says for heavy front ends 700+ lbs vs 586 lbs?
Basically, I'm wondering wether it's better to get a 3/4" front level using a small top plate spacer or if there is a coil that can do that and keep stock ride (w/kdss).
Thanks.

I have 2017 with KDSS and looking for a mild, simple, inexpensive lift (no UCA's) to raise up the car for my new wheels and level it out. What do you reccomend?
Can this be accomplished by new springs only (re-using the exiting stocks/struts)?

Yes, you can just buy new coils and put them on your stock struts. Just look at the coil options in post #1.
I would recommend even height front coils, and offset height rear coils, to account for the KDSS lean.
C59-300 in the front for 1.75" lift Or you can do C59-302's if you want an extra 1/2" lift, but 2.5" is about the limit of needing UCA's so that your tires don't wear unevenly on the insides.
C59-723 in the rear

Hello Mike,
Would you recommend the following on my 2011 Trail Edition:
C59-302 Front Coils
C59-325 Rear Coils
GS59-700 Front Shocks
GS59-701 Rear Shocks
Currently it is all stock but I plan to add a winch and winch plate to the stock bumper in the near future. I am looking for 2-2.5 in of lift on the front for 275/70 tires.
Would it be possible for you to message me a quote for everything? I am looking to order this coming week.
Thank you

That's a good combo to give you 2.5" of front lift and 2" of rear lift. Once you add the winch and winch plate, it will probably drop the front down 1/4" depending on the weight.
I'll PM you some pricing.
Mike.

Hi Mike,
Could you comment or provide input on my post above (post # 306) regarding a very small front lift? Thanks!

No one has done this yet to my knowledge, but people buy just coils alone from time to time and don't always tell us what they're putting it on.
Yes, it could work, and would work just fine.
Our spring rate is higher than stock, so the ride wouldn't be identical. It would also firm up the front and reduce brake dive.
Yes, it will work on stock struts.
Yes, you could use the non-KDSS coils, then adjust the KDSS system after all is said and done to remove any lean that comes about.
Honestly, a spacer would be a lot easier. It all depends what you're trying to get out of it. New coils would help the ride quality while giving it a bump in lift height.
Your front end is all stock weight? No bumpers or anything?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I don't plan on a front bumper or winch.
What I'm trying to get out of it would be a slight front lift (no more than 1", I don't want reverse rake when back is loaded w/ camping gear, etc), just to give a bit more clearance off road, maintain as comfortable a ride on road as possible, minimal impact on stock geometry, etc. Off road will be often but mild to moderate at most. I don't plan on much extra weight, maybe sliders instead of the stock running boards eventually.
I thought a 3/8" top plate spacer would do the trick (does anyone make a 3/8 top spacer?), and from my research shouldn't impact the oem components. But everyone seems to say don't use spacers if you're going to actually go off road so I don't know.
Thanks.

The stock rear coils don't have too heavy of a spring rate, so depending on how much weight you add back there when camping, etc, you may end up with a level vehicle before you even touch the front. It's always best to consider all the weight you already have, or plan on adding, before making changes. Adding a bit of lift to the front won't really give you a big performance gain, and to be honest, it's probably not worth the time and labor to add just an inch, especially if the stock suspension is still in good shape. For mild to moderate offroading, just adding the sliders will be a huge improvement.
I'm not sure what thicknesses of spacers there are, but they are limited by the thickness of the studs on the top mounts, and how it all has to attach.
On another note, I've sold many sets of coils to people that are removing spacers front and rear, so I assume the for sale section must be pretty full of options.
