Hey Mike, I’m currently running Bilstien 5100 w/oem springs and a rear day star spacer. I wanted to know if I change my springs and lower my settings on my Bilstien a will I be able to achieve a higher lift 2.75?
I think I’m currently sitting at 2.5 with the Bilstien 5100 at the top notch in the front and rear spacer. I’m also running 275/70/17 tires.

If so, do you have any recommendations on springs? I main drive on pavement and sometimes go camping. I’m trying to avoid uca if possible. I’m open to changing out to dobinson suspension but I was hoping that adding springs would be more cost effective

Hey man. Sent you a PM too. To avoid UCA's, you should go more than 2.5" of lift, using the C59-302 coils with the 5100's set to the lowest clip.

A few months back I picked up the Dobinsons stock height rear coils for my 2010 SR5 and it looks almost like it has a lift in the rear now. I was hoping the springs would settle in and the height would drop some but so far it doesn't appear to have.

Beginning to think I will have to do a small lift in the front to even the vehicle back out again.

Whats your hub to fender measurement? It's likely your stock springs were just sagged badly.

I don't know the measurement right offhand and it's late out and dark.
I will attach a picture here to show the difference between front and back.

Picture from today. Still waiting for my new wheels to show up but debating on lifting the front a bit more. With the IMS extended front shocks with 302's I started at 3.5" when first installed and has settled to 2.5" after only a couple hundred miles already. Ride quality has been excellent though.

I've got a ~2''/1'' twin tube setup coming my way soon, I'll take a ton of pics during install and post some height comparisons when I'm done with it all.

I have basically settled on the following components, but how would they look with the stock size tires? I am currently running the General Grabber ATX in stock size. I am debating when I should move forward with this, now or when I need new tires and at that point move to a bigger size. The plan is for a low profile bumper with winch as well.

Front Coils: C59-302
Front Struts: GS59-700
Rear Coils: C59-505
Rear Shocks: GS59-705

Thanks

I would get the lift height you want, then later when you need tires, go up to the size you want. Tires aren't cheap, and it's not worth taking your good ones off unless you can get good money for them.

I'm sure people on here are running those parts with stock tires, but I don't have any photos saved of it. That's the most common combination of parts sold for 5th Gens.

I'm running this exact setup on stock sized Falkens and it has been great. The tires do look a little small due to the wheel gap sometimes but i don't care personally. I will say that the rear is pretty high, higher than expected, but again i'm fine with it. See pic, it's not the best one but it shows where i'm at after a year of running on the setup.

Side note, even if the 4r looked terrible with them the ride of the IMS suspension would make up for it 10x. It's firm but smooth over bumps. I cant describe how much i love driving it.

Thanks, it's helpful seeing a picture.

And thanks CrikeyMike for your response as well

people think itll look silly on stock tires but then you see one on the road and they really dont look bad. subjective obviously. Sometimes I do miss those little P rated car tires though
