Changing SR5 seats to leather and color choice

I have a new silver with the two tone (black and dark grey) cloth seats. Looking at changing to the Roadwire seats. They are available locally so it would be easier. Their configurator defaults to black - not sure if I want black in Texas. I could also choose dark grey or a two tone with black and dark grey. Has anyone chose a replacement color for the SR5 seats in leather? I searched and some did leather in trail editions but the interior color in those looked to be light grey and the 2016 SR5 is dark grey or black for door panels, dash etc.

totally a question of personal preference, but how about going with a "platinum" or "stone" seat color (assuming available)? the seats would then be slightly darker than your silver exterior but far less dark than the interior trim, so they'd be a nice contrast and a good choice for not soaking up the hot sun.

Leather scratches and stains, but also absorbs heat.

You want a dark gray color that won't stain, and won't turn atomic hot in the sun.

Toyota did a great job with the cloth seats compared to some other manufacturers I've used for my DD (*coughtdi*)...they last quite well.

Keeping the seats is a good option here. I did this upgrade on my 2001 and loved it but the original seats back then were plain uncomfortable. My neighbor and I both "upgraded" and commented that they deliberately made the standard seats so uncomfortable that the upgrade made sense. Imagine the seating area being something close to a 1/4 hemp type rope across the seats.

I upgraded my 2004, but intend to stick with the 2016 seats until/if they become a problem. I did do the fabric protection on them for what it may or may not be worth.

I live in Florida and black leather is just fine especially if you tint your windows and use a sunscreen when you park. No experience with the seats you are talking about but I highly recommend Katzkin. Lots of options and color combinations available, quality product
