Keller here.
First a brief intro into who i am.
I believe in a few things. Dogs > Cats. Guns are fun (Tweaked out suppressed guns are more fun except for personal protection). Good Rum, better Scotch and damn good beer. A good woman, a good time and good stories are what life is really about.
Sorry i've been drinking...
So where to start this odyssey? Ill leave out the part about damaging three cars (and a garage door) parking in my own drive way (rental house after my house burned down) due to hasty gear change and skip to the part where i had NO idea what to purchase as a replacement (I also strongly believe in parentheticals).
The garage already included a 2012 Cummins mega cab and a Lotus Elise so i had the outside of the spectrum covered. So what to get to fill the empty void previously occupied by a now deceased VW golf TDI
https://i.imgur.com/RQBR9pG.jpg (great little car for tooling around major city). I test drove everything even mildly interesting, from a Subi WRX to the Chevy Colorado with the baby Duramax (great little engine by the way). Im not sure when it happened but i started looking at a 4 runner TRD pro as a stop gap. Honestly my initial interest was the fact that they were asking the same amount for a 1 year old with 20k miles as they were for one fresh off the lot.
You mean i can buy one of these, use this year to actually make up my mind ?!?!?! Sold. (I should also mention that this process took almost 2 months and i was Ubering back and forth to work as the Dodge didn't fit in the garage and the Lotus was a victim of the Golfs suicide attempt

So that was how i "settled" on a 4Runner.
As it will surprise no-one at this point, Patience is not a virtue i possess in spades and it turns out that getting a TRD Pro 4 runner in september was essentially a no go. Since a TRD pro is a Trail Premium - a sun roof and +front grill and 5100's, i went that way.
Eventually i talked and cajoled my way into a red 2016 Trail Premium with KDSS (Night and DAY difference, I dismissed the 4runner entirely until i drove one with KDSS)
Cut to 5, almost 6 whole days later and im replacing the stock tires with some oversized BFG AT KO2's.
Obviously more aggressive tires lead one to explore and try more things and the next thing i know im at Hidden falls the weekend my sister is supposed to get married (robbed by indians in Montana (feathers not Dots) and broke off her engagement a few days later so "Free weekend in Austin"). Narrowly escaping that experience with no real damage i promptly threw my name in the RCI group buy hat and bought a full aluminum skid plate package and sliders. Before i know it a CB and a tri band HAM radio are installed and im slightly hooked.
Now dear reader, (if anyone has actually made it this far) we come to the part where i need you.
After much time and effort i have quote for a Full set of OME BP 51's (with mounting hardware), Icon tubular UCA's and Icon dual rate rear springs for 3300ish bucks.
Do i do it or should i go King Icon etc. I have two speeds, reckless abandon and paralyzing analyses. Help me break free.
