Eezi awn k9 roof rack accessories. What do you use?

Just placed my order for the full length k9 roof rack from eezi awn. Pretty excited that it is in stock and will arrive in a few days.

I know it will vary greatly but I just wanted to see what accessories you Find the most useful or what custom mounting rigs you have set up.

I am also looking for tie down rings I can leave up there full time that won't add much height. The picture below is what I got with the rack, but I'm thinking maybe something angled that's more flat or something like a D ring hinge. And preferably black and rust resistant. Share what you got! Thanks!

The tie down rings only add about 1.5" of height. Any smaller and it will probably be useless as a tie down point because you wont be able to get anything inside between the ring and end of the bolt. The metal hook of a tie down strap just barely fits as it is.

I get that they don't add much height, but as someone who uses my ride as a daily driver in the city, every inch counts as parking garages etc have low clearances. This is why I opted for the lower 40mm feet.

And I know I can easily remove them when not in use, but I want to be lazy and find something I can leave up there when I need it on a whim if possible.

I came across these on amazon, I may try them out. Anyone else using something similar?

Those look like they will bend or shear as soon as you put some stress on them.

Get some real rated swivel/pivot hoist rings if you want something low profile but able to handle weight.

Thanks I'll look through the site. According to amazon, the ones I posted a picture of have a working load limit of 1000lbs. But who really knows if that true.

Those pivoting swivel rings look pretty cool. Pricey though.

I have both size tie down rings, Maxtrax mounts and Accessory Adapters. All great quality and work great with the rack.

Just a heads up for the table to work on a 5th gen, I think it will only fit from the rear of the rack and the factory antenna has to be moved/modified.

Can I ask how you are going to remove it? I wish I had taken mine off before installing the rack. Now I'm trying to find a way to remove it with the rack on. Ugh.

if i remember correctly you drop the back of the headliner being careful not to crease it and unbolt the antenna, then it pulls up and you unclip it. i haven't decided yet what i will use to fill it, i know there are lower profile toyota antennas so i might just use one of those.

The table looks super cool and useful but unfortunately I won't be able to fit one under the 40mm legs.

Yes, those swivel rings look awesome but they are definitely pricey.

How about frontrunner rack accessories? Which ones have people used successfully without any major modifications?

Just got this rack and was wondering the same thing. Any one have any experience using the front runner accessories on this rack?
