Back seat side windows disable
Anyone know how to disable the up/down control of these windows only?
My dog has figured out how to make them go down. Her paw somehow seems to naturally rest on the go down button.
I am aware of the driver's side front button that will lock/unlock control. However it affects all the windows and I would like to still be able to control the front passenger and rear windows without the dog moving the rear side windows down when this button is unlocked.
TIA

Roll your windows down to where you want them to be then lock it... Why over complicate things...

Excellent idea! Now if you could point me to a how to source, I would be most appreciative.

Like many here, my vehicle operates in constantly changing environments, terrains and speeds thus the need to have control as I have indicated.

if you are asking if there is some off-the-shelf or quick solution to your problem the answer is no
if disconnecting the switches is too permanent, you could put a relay in line with the switch to lock them individually but there is no walk through or youtube video for how to do it.

Actually I was asking for a "how to remove the door panel" but in the meantime I located a utube video that answered my removal question.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xfjJBh_KzM
I have one door panel off as I type and I have reached in and unplugged/ disconnected the switch.
I still have full up/down control function from the drivers switch but of course the rear door switch no longer works. This condition is perfect for me and if/when I ever have a passenger or dog who might want the window down or up, they will have to tell me.
Now to button it back up and do the other side.
Thanks much for your help.

I would try disconnecting the connectors to the rear switches and not the motors. That way you should be able to still operate them from the front. Failing that, perhaps covering the switches somehow would work. You may find the info required to remove the door panels in threads covering door lock motor replacement. The door lock/unlock motors seem to be a high failure item.
Oops guess you beat me to it.

Reason: more info to add.
