Anyone ever weigh their T4R? I did.

Stopped by a CAT scale today to get a baseline weight. This is with just over 3/4 tank of gas and myself as the only passenger.

That's good to know. It makes the 19.5 mpg US that our 4R Trail gets seem very reasonable compared to the much lighter and thirstier 4x4s I've owned since 1964. - Ted

I've been wanting to... but never have.

Is your truck 100% stock?

The advertised curb weight is 4,400 to 4,805.

I think the sr5 2wd is the 4,400 and the limited 4wd is the 4,805. I've been thinking 4,800 stock. Not sure if that is dry or wet....

10 gallons of gas is about 60lbs. 100lbs for 3/4 of a tank seems about right.

Yes, except for the C4 FAB Rock Sliders.

It was $11 and I used the CAT mobile app. It's pretty cool. Just roll up on the scale, the GPS detects your scale location, click accept and your weight is displayed in the app. A copy is emailed to you in a PDF. Never have to get out of the vehicle.

So you, plus the sliders is roughly 300lbs 162 + ~130.

That puts your truck at ~4650 wet stock with 3/4 tank. Not bad really.

Funny, I was considering doing this as well. Instead I weighed every single item I had packed in my truck for the last trip.. it was arguably potentially easier haha.

I'd like to weigh mine when I finish adding stuff to it. But I have no idea where to go around here to get it weighed.

Ray if you ever make it up to Oregon we have tons of free scales you can use.

My last 80 series cruiser was close to 7k pounds. Yikes. Especially with a 3FE! You guys complain about these Runners being under powered have no idea.

Smile Ghost towns

Ray: If you ever up to British Columbia, just a few miles north of you, you have to visit Barkerville. It's a very large, 'restored' 1860s gold mining, ghost town, complete with dancing girls and all the hoopla. Well worth the trip, and you can run a miles of off=road trails on the way up to it. - Cheers, Ted
