5th gen owners be all like: don't put no power liftgate on muh rig 'cause it's more stuff to fail down the road and wussy mall crawler stuff... yet they drive a vehicle with an air injection pump.

forget the air injection pump...how about they drive a vehicle with heated seats and A/C....

I'll be honest..I never even really paid attention when I bought mine that it didn't have the power lift gate..

I had a Rav4 with power lift gate and one side was weak and unless it was lubricated every other day it was more manual but with resistance. Replacement part was around $800. So I did what anyone in my position would do. I traded it in for a 4Runner. :beer_emoji

I'd be against the power lift gate.

Wifes 2015 Highlander Liftgate broke 4 times already.
2 x grease coming out - replaced under warranty
1 x it kept popping off the door - replaced the power shock thing and door mount under warranty
1 x opened only halfway before beeping at us - replaced both shocks under warranty

Lift gates are great if they're reliable..case in point our 2010 Honda Ody, never had an issue (probably just jinxed myself)..wife uses the s**t out of that thing, opens and closes all the time..it's funny when I close it I never use the power assist..

Agree with this. All these things we don't need that are costly to replace.

Looking at you XREAS suspension.
