Finally installed my Radflos this weekend. Feels great. It's all interesting to me how different shocks perform. These feel a lot smoother than my 6112s.
Ride is smooth yet a bit bumpy right now but that could be due to needing an alignment and the 700s needing to settle. Getting nearly 3" of lift on the passenger side and a little less than 2.5 on the driver side. All with the standard half inch of preload on both sides. Waiting for the spanner wrench to see what I want to adjust.

Just wanted to post some numbers and pictures in case it helps anyone in the future. The springs are still new so maybe they'll still settle down.
But as of right now I'm running almost no preload on the passenger side. The lock ring on these Radflos forces you to have a quarter inch at least. I'm running one inch on the driver side. Radflo says in the installation instructions to not go past one inch of thread from top of spring mount to bottom of shock top with 700lb coils. So I'll go by that.
With nearly 200+lbs of weight in the front, I sit at ~22.5 hub to fender on the driver side. ~22.75 hub to fender on the passenger side. My stock height on the driver side at the time was 19.5 hub to fender. So that gives me 3 inches of lift and then about the same, maybe a little less, on the passenger since it was always taller.
I feel I don't have much room to play with height settings and that's fine. It's basically sitting how I like it. I gotta say though, it's never been so easy to play with lift. Gone are the days where I had to completely tear down everything to adjust height on my 6112's lol.

Hey nice ride. Was reading this and was a bit confused, you're running nearly a full inch difference in preload from side to side? I know some folks offset the driver side to compensate for the fuel tank, but a full inch seems dramatic to me. Have you had your truck up on an alignment rack yet? Just curious to see what the numbers show.
Also, I've got the same Radflo 2.5's with 700lb coils. I'm currently set at 1" of preload on both sides, just dropped it down from 1-3/16th".
From center hub to the fender I'm at 22.5" average. My bumper/winch/ light combo weighs about 200 pounds, I've got other stuff under the hood though, namely a dual battery setup, that'll add a bit more weight. Hope that helps.

I have no turns on the passenger side with the 700# springs and about an inch on the drivers to level out my ride. Hard to give dimensions since my stuff is a cut up, including fenders and flares.

That’s crazy, I’ve never heard of the front requiring that much difference but I guess it’s possible.

Thanks! Same goes to you.
I guess technically, its about 3/4 of an inch difference since that lock ring is there using a quarter inch of space. But yeah, that's just how it's been for me really even after alignments with my previous 6112's. I just figure the gas tank and all make that much of a difference. No alignment yet but next week for sure. Now you have me thinking if that will change things up. I'll let you know when I get it.

Nice, yea I'm sure it's fine, just startled me that's all. I may not have paid so much attention to it until now either so who knows.

I've got an sso bumper and winch going in mine as well. would you stick to the 650 or go 700. I want the best drive possible that stiffens the front and eliminated some nose dive but I do not want a spring that is too stiff. I'm looking to just lift my 4runner about 2 inches. I do not know anything about preload or how that would play a part

I’ve got the victory front bumper and that’s 70ish pounds. No winch yet. I don’t see a need to change out the coils. I did on a previous rig with more weight up front and I still didn’t think it was necessary. The taller coil however isn’t a bad idea to run less preload.

Jumping into this thread as a new 2022 TRD Pro owner (upgraded form an SR5 2WD) who has no real education on suspension. I am looking at the standard low-profile front bumper/winch/light-bar combo (offered by C4 or SSO) and have seen from threads like this that it is pretty clear I should upgrade suspension. Any good other threads or places to look at what it would entail? I don't plan to add a bunch, but ~130# slapped on the front makes it sound like even with the TRD Pro Fox Shocks, I need to do some upgrading. Any tips would be helpful as I start to figure out what I need to do. Cheers!

id think just changing to a bit heavier spring would be perfect. you could add a spacer to offset the weight lowering it, but that wont help control the added weight like a heavier spring will.

I am a huge noobie to suspensions and lifts, would I be able to get a say - 700# spring and just swap out with the stock Fox Shock spring?
