650lb vs 700lb Coils?

Those running 2.5 coilovers with a plate bumper, winch, and full skid plates. Which rate are you guys running? I have the Fox 2.5 with Eibach 600lb 13" coils and I feel these aren't enough with my full armor, minus the winch. I'm hoping to lose some pre-load as well since the 650/700lb coils are 14".

1) Plate bumper 105lb
2) Full skids 90lb
3) Sliders 90lbs
4) Winch, 65lb (going to add after heavier coils)

Looking at these two products:

700lb Eibach 14"
1400.300.0700s

Or

650lb Eibach 14"

I could feel the increased weight with the stock Icon springs when I added all of the additional weight. I had to keep cranking down the adjusters to level out the 4Runner and still had heavy nose dive on braking. Swapping to the Icon 700# springs mad a huge difference in eliminating the nose dive.

I've got 700lb coils up front and find them perfect. Thought they were a little soft at first but a few cranks of preload made a huge difference. Demello plate bumper, steel winch line and skids here.

Good to know. I was on the fence between the two but since you guys are happy with the 700lb coils I just may do the same. How much preload(inches/thread visible) do you guys have?

None on one side and enough to level out the vehicle on the other side.

Did you ever go with one? I currently have the the King 700lb springs on my 6112's. Curious if anyone else has them too on them. And if you are, what clip setting are y'all at? I'm currently on clip 7 on the driver side and 4 on the passenger side. From ground to fender it's just shy of 38" on both sides. Rides really nice with my bumper.
I'm wondering if decreasing preload, the springs would still be able to retain the same height.

I have a Toytec Ultimate with 650 coils. When the kit was put on it leveled the vehicle. When I added the SSO Hybrid bumper and 10,000# Smittybilt with syn line it resulted in about a 1/2" rake.

Based on this experience I would guess that if you are going with a full bumper and plates you might benefit from the 700# springs.

I'm running on 650lb springs with an Icon CDCV setup in the front. Currently have a Pelfreybilt Alum Bumper, Warn M8000 winch and RCI Alum Skids. Lost about 0.5 in with the bumper/winch installed. Going to be cranking the preload up next weekend and may switch to 700lb springs when I add another battery and compressor in the future.

From what I was reading before while doing research. It sounded like you need a considerable amount of weight up front before considering 700lb springs. So I would be curious to see what folks are doing with "lighter" front end setups.

Why are you set up at 7 on driver side and 4 on passenger side??? I have them both at the 4th setting and there's no lean on Eibach 700lb springs. I'm gonna add the C4 Fabrication lo-pro bumper, smittybilt X10 winch and budbuilt engine skid. With a combined weight of about 180lb. I had my brother jump in the engine bay who weighs around same and only dropped an 1/8 inch. Rides great great now, I think Eibach makes Kings 700lbs.

Man, I know lol. I've been wondering for some time now. I went about this the wrong way with the springs. I need to let the spring rate do the lifting vs the preload more so. Initially I was trying to level it with the rear, all while holding the bumper up. There's about a 2" rake right now and I ended up liking it. But it looks like the 7th clip isn't even needed since I'm the same height on both sides.

They honestly ride great on the road. Nice and firm. Doesn't dip down on slow cornering turns with the bumper like it did with the stock 600lb springs it came with. But maybe there's more room for softness and uptravel.

So, from hub to top of fender, I'm sitting at 22.25" (stock was 19.5") on both the driver and passenger side even with the clip difference. This weekend I plan on reducing that driver side preload. I may try clip 2 or 3 and see if that leaves me at the same height right now, and maybe even decrease the passenger side too.
Kinda makes me wish I used the extra money for coilovers where I can just give them a few turns to adjust height lol

Any reason you're sticking with eibachs? I have similar weight on my truck and run 2.5" Radflos which originally came with 650lb Eibachs, but when it was time to upgrade I went with 700lb 14" Kings and I've never looked back.

At my current setting im at 2.75 of lift up front, if you go to the lower settings you might not like how it sits. I feel your pain on the adjustments with 700lb springs on the 6112s. Coilovers would've been easier to adjust, but I wanted to try this set up first. I did a lot of research and it seems .0001% of us with 6112s are running 700lb springs. First time I put them on I did set them at the 7th perch and had 4.5 inches of lift. Looked nice but all my suspension angles were way off. Brought down to 4th setting and have stock rake which I always liked. Might go up to 5th setting depending on how much it actually drops with the incoming mods. First picture is of the ball joint at current height, second if of the setting at 7th perch, and last one is how it sits now.
