15 Limited - Passenger HVAC Fan Noise

Hey everyone, I will admit I did try to do some searching on this and was coming up empty.

Anyways, I noticed this past Sunday that the HVAC fan on the passenger side of my 15 Limited sounds like the bearing is shot. The higher the fan speed, the more noise it produces.

This is regardless of heat/AC, air direction, re-circulation on or off, etc.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there an easy fix? The car is still under warranty, but I was just at the dealer for my 20 month Toyota Care maintenance and would like to put off going back unless I need to.

TIA!

Is it howling/squealing, or rattling?

If the former, take it in. If the latter, remove the cabin filter and look in there with a flashlight. Leaves and debris could be the issue.

Dude, thank you... wasn't aware you could to get it from the cabin filter.

Turned out to be a leaf stuck at the top of the turbine in there.

Thanks again man!

It's amazing how one tiny leaf will wobble those things. Be thankful it wasn't a rodent.
