They will if you don't call and tell them about the bumper now.

Glad you're OK, the truck can be fixed...
Also my fear. It's mind blowing how many distracted drivers are out there. I think i spend more time rotating my head between three mirrors, trying to predict a level of distraction from drivers, then actually enjoying my drive time.

I guess you'd have to talk to your agent and see if there are any potential issues with any mod: lifts, bumpers, etc.

Also, some foam to cover a hitch ball extension might help those shins. I knew a guy years ago that had front and rear bumpers each made from 4' of railroad rail. He pushed people a few times and got hit a couple of times and didn't have any damage. Kind of heavy though.

Some insurance policies exclude aftermarket parts. I would definitely check and make sure it's added/covered. If someone else is at fault they would have to pay to fix or replace with what was on it at the time of the loss regardless of oem or not.

I do not have any mods that would need to be insured. But I am a licensed property/casualty agent. I recommend that if you make any substantial modifications to your vehicle that you tell your agent/carrier. Don't want any surprises on either your side or your carrier's side. And it may not even raise your rate at all.

That sucks, but glad no one was hurt. Just FYI, tell your adjuster to add a new spare rim and tire to the estimate. From the pic posted yours got Ford smacked and has a flat spot. Wouldn't trust it or the tire.

Got rear ended last month in my 18 4Runner, very minor for me, yes I have a ball mounted in receiver
Totaled her KIA. My kids say i’am a ACE now, fifth time I have been hit while stopped (not same 4Runner) each time with hitch installed
This time made for great video as I have front and rear cameras, her insurance was glad to pay when I sent them the video

I was in a McDonalds line with a hitch carrier. Very poor lighting at this McDonald’s/small clearance and this young fella with his 4 friends hit my carrier trying to go around. My carrier won lol. I was like idc if you don’t care and he seemed very appreciative lol.

Weird that you keep getting hit though.

Story time!!
Just when you think life is going good, I end up sliding into that dreaded curb rear tire on that snowy road. I took it to the alignment shop theysaid everything looks okay after putting it on the alignment rack, I have this rotation squeak squeak when apply the brakes, the harder I brake the less or the sound almost goes away the truck drives straight doesn’t shutter or of nature.. ps the truck has 10k miles on it 2021 trd ORP. Stock everything. My next adventure is taking a dial indicator to the axle flange.

Now my question is what is acceptable runout for the flange?

Next question, assume the flange got bent out of tolerance does or can someone steer me in the direction of parts needed? I’m not trying to save money buying off brand parts, I like oem parts because they last forever in my eyes.
Thanks for your time..

-mr curb got me.

Axle shaft
Rings
Seals
Etc..

Measure axial looseness and runout as shown below. Replace axle hub if out of spec.
