Hey everyone,

So I spent my evening yesterday putting my rugged ridge synthetic rope on, and my stupid awesome, factor55 prolink and fairlead.

I was looking up a multitude of videos on how to change your wire rope to a synthetic rope and they all looked super easy. All the videos I saw were on smittybilt and no name brand winches, and all you had to do was unscrew the end of the rope and done!

I am lucky enough to own a warn, and they like to build quality stuff, so they attach their line differently. They run it through the hole and put a pin so that the rope won't come out if you ever decide to spool it out all the way. Needless to say, it was extremely difficult to remove the wire rope from my winch. It took my dad and I about 3 hours to get the wire rope out. Luckily, it was all worth it in the end.

Here are some pics. Again, I think this factor55 hook is stupid, because if you really want a closed winch system, you would just hook your shackle directly to the end of the rope. The factor55 hook is just another piece that could break on your line. It does make your truck look much cleaner instead of a conventional hook, and it doesn't hang in the air and make noise, which is why I decided to get it LOL

Hey everyone,

My buddy and I decided to do a night run, out at cleghorn on Friday night. This was the first time I've ever done a trail at night, and I never thought it would be so different.

You loose your sense of where the line is almost immediately, as soon as you tackle on an obstacle.

My buddy with a million led bars was lighting up all the obstacles for me, but even with all that light, it was still very difficult.

I didn't get to take any pics, but I just wanted to share the story.

My girlfriend and I are going to do some camping at big sur next weekend. I'll definitely take a lot of pics for that trip!

Hi Everyone,

I know I don't have any mods coming in for the truck anytime soon, but I do have a couple of trips coming up within the next couple of weeks, which I will be documenting through pictures!

This past weekend, my girlfriend and I went out to big sur. I must say, it was very beautiful, but the people there were extremely rude and mean. You would think that since it would be a tourist destination, the people would be nice and friendly, but it was the complete opposite.

We booked a camp site at kirk creek, and I must say again, it was extremely beautiful and jaw dropping. The only problem, besides the people being rude, was that kirk creek was in between the north and south side avalanches. This meant we only had about a 15 mile radius of big sur we could check out. Needless to say, besides the breath taking views, there wasn't much to do.

My girlfriend and I got to camp around 3pm and got done setting up around 5. We decided to go to pismo beach while on our way home the following day, since there wasn't much to do at big sur. So, we got up around 9:30 and hit the road around 10:30. We go to pismo around 12 and got lunch at the famous splash cafe! After, we went out to the dunes and drove on the beach for a little bit.

We had an awesome weekend and I took tons of pictures, so I hope you enjoy them! I'll be headed to Rowher flats this weekend for some off-roading and to sequioa national park at the end of this month!

On to some pictures!

I was actually happy I was able to get 13.6 mpg on the way there. I thought I would get around 11-12 , because heading there was a ton of hill climbs and I have jerry cans, a shovel, highlift, and my awning dragging my mpg away on my roof. I averaged 14mpg going home though, which was awesome LOL

some views of big sur

First and second dinner lol, as well as the campsite.

my gf decided she wanted to fill a hole in the ground with the shovel lol

She also wanted to be silly LOL

Here are a couple of quick pics I took while I was at pismo the following day

I saw this super cool GMC diesel truck, pulling a huge mercedes benz amg trailer. The truck and trailer must have cost a fortune to get it looking like this.

Well, that's all I have for now! Until next time!

Hey everyone,

I might head out to pismo this weekend, and i'll be camping out at sequioa next weekend, so i have a few adventures i'll be updating you on shortly!

I also ordered some new led pods for my ditch brackets. The ones I have are really bright, but they are really bulky and honestly don't look right on the truck imo. This is my third set of led ditch lights lol, hopefully these new ones work great.

They are an amazon no name brand led light. I don't believe in buying expensive led lights LOL.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give an update about my previous trip.

I went out to Monache Meadows which is by Sequioa National forrest and it was definitely one for the books! I was able to catch up with some old friends and also make new friends.

The views were amazing, the trail was awesome, and the campsites were wonderful. The best part about it was it was primitive camping so no running water, phone signal, or any type of personal amenities.

If you're reading this Virgil, thank you very much for setting up this trip! I was able to meet awesome people and make friendships i'll never forget!

It's crazy to think what social media can do for you. Besides my friends Chivas and Derek, I didn't know anyone in the group and social media brought us together.

I won't write too much and let the photos do the talking. I only take pictures with my puny iphone 6 so they aren't the greatest quality.

Enjoy!

storm troopers galore on this trip lol

Hey Everyone,

I have some updates on my truck!

I just ordered a wilco rear tire carrier and some ome 898 springs.

I already have a set of ome 889 springs which are made for 200lbs of constant weight, but I decided to upgrade because I plan on getting an RTT sometime in the future.

The rear tire carrier is about 60lbs and the rim and tire is about 80lbs but with an rtt it will definitely exceed 200lbs.

I'll post some photos once I get the parts on!

Hey everyone,

I got my wilco tire carrier installed!

My sister picked it up for me out in Santa Ana due to me working during the week days. So far, I love it! I drove it around for a little bit and I didn't hear any rattling.

I decided to go with wilco for 2 reasons. It gives you a hitch replacement so you don't loose your hitch receiver and also because of it's swing out feature. It sticks out kind of far from the body of the vehicle, but it's not to bad imo.

I will be installing my OME 898 springs this weekend so that is still to come!

Here are some pictures of the tire carrier.

Hey everyone! I put on my new OME 898 springs on last week and they are awesome! They hold 400lbs of constant weight and my truck doesn't squat anymore!

I also ordered a smittybilt 2783 rooftop tent. This also why I decided to upgrade my springs from 889 to 898.

I'll post pictures of the tent once it comes in!

So I wanted to provide an update on my tent.

I decided to cancel my smittybilt rtt order. I canceled it because I was being OCD with the black cover of the tent clashing with the grey on my arb awning lol.

If you guys saw my post earlier, I actually wanted a tepui and not a smittybilt rtt. I jumped on the smitty because of the deal I got on amazon.

Well, long story short, I canceled my smittybilt rtt and ordered a tepui through rei. It was a little more expensive, but I think it will be worth it in the end because rei comes with a 1 year no questions asked warrenty and the color matches with my awning LOL.
