Hi Everyone,
I wanted to give an update on the tent.
So I picked up my tepui sky ayer 2 tent from rei on Saturday and it was a huge bust!
Well, another long story short, I put the ladder and mounting brackets on the tent and when it was time for me to zip it shut, the zipper wouldn't work. I took a good look at the zipper and noticed it was clamped shut, so the fabric couldn't slide between it.
Luckily, I bought it through rei and they have a 1 year warranty on any product you buy from them. They took it back instantly and ordered me another one.
I must say i really love the service REI gives to their customers. Although I had a mishap, i'm still glad I bought the tepui instead of the smittybilt.
Here are a couple of pictures of the tent, the runner, and the messed up zipper lol

Hi Everyone,
I just got back from a camping trip out in Carpenteria CA. A friend recommend this spot and told me it would be a cool place to check out!
She told me it would be beaching camping, but it ended up being a rv park that was on the beach. I was expecting it to be a little more primitive, but my girlfriend and I still had a good time!
The main reason why I wanted to go out on this trip was to test out my new tent! I returned the previous tent I posted and received a new one from rei on Wednesday.
The new one works great and has no problems. I also had the best sleep I've ever had in a tent! I must definitely say, I should have gotten a roof top tent sooner!
Next weekend, my gf and I will be headed out to Santa Barbara to do some camping around the San Marcos pass! We will be there with her family, so that trip will definitely be exciting!
I'll post a couple of pictures of the truck! I hope you enjoy!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is getting ready for their winter adventures!
I just had a quick update on the truck!
So as some of you know, I used to have a set of RRW RR4's before jumping to the SCS F5's. I really really really like my F5's but I fell in love with this new set of wheels that RRW just made called the RR2-V2.
Luckily the owner didn't hate me too much after jumping ship and going to SCS, so he let me jump back to RRW when this new line came out.
These are RRW's new line and it's awesome. What's cool about it is that it has a rim guard so it doesn't actually scratch up your rim on the rocks!
These wheels come in 17x8.5 0 offset, and I really don't want to lose the poke that I have with the F5's, so I decided to buy some wheel spacers. I ran spidertrax before and I loved them to death, and I wish I could have gone with another set, but I need a 1.5in spacer if I want to have the same poke as my F5's. Unfortunately, spidertrax only makes 1.25 hubcentric spacers. They do make a 1.5 spacer but they are lug centric which I don't like.
So instead of going with spidertrax, I went with a brand called synergy. I did some research and a lot people vouch for them, and from what I read, they are made in the US of A. I really despise running the cheap 80 bucks for 4 spacers on amazon because of all the horror stories i've read on spacers breaking. Hopefully these synergy spacers are just as good as the spidertrax I had. Of course the reason why I went with these spacers were because they were the only 1.5in hubcentric spacers I could find for toyotas that were made from a legitimate company.
I don't have any pics of the wheels on the truck yet, so I'll leave you all with a teaser pic
I'll get some actually pictures of the truck tomorrow!

Hi Everyone!
It's been awhile since i've updated this thread. As we all know today (11/24) was black friday aka buy a shit ton of car parts day LOL, which is what I did.
Icon was having a 20% off store wide sale so I couldn't resist. I originally wanted a basic setup 2.5 front coilovers and 2.0 rear shocks non reservoir and total chaos uniball upper control arms, but thanks to the sale I ended up with 2.5 front coilovers with reservoirs and extended travel, 2.0 rear with reservoirs, and some icon uniball upper control arms.
I'm really happy with my purchase and I can't wait to post some pics and put them to use! I'll update everyone as the parts come!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to give you all an update. It's been almost 2 months since i've ordered my set of icons and I still haven't received them. I did how ever receive my upper control arms on December 15. The email told me that the coilovers would ship out shortly after, so i decided to give the company metaltech a call. I asked on when the coilovers would be shipped and they tell me January 15. What's crazy is I had a buddy order a set as well at the same time as me and his suspension arrived on January 15th. This post is not to bash on metaltech, but me just being tired of waiting lol. Also the reason for the delay could be because I requested for 700lbs front springs. Anyways I hope it gets here soon so I can put them on! lol

Hey everyone!
Today was an awesome day!!! I got an email on Wednesday telling me that the Icon's will arrive here on Jan 15, but with some luck they came in the mail today! As soon as they arrived, I brought it to my buddies shop so I can get them installed on the rig! I brought it in pretty late into the day, so he won't start working on it until tomorrow.
I do have one complaint regarding metaltech. I ordered these back in November and I specifically asked them if I could get 700lbs springs with my front coilovers. The sales person I was talking to told me he could get it done for free with no extra cost and that he would make sure he notes that down in the system. Well, here we are 2 months later and what do you know, they didn't come with 700lbs springs. Instead, they came with 650lbs springs. Now I know I didn't pay extra to get the 700lbs springs, so I shouldn't complain that I didn't get them, but if they needed any type of payment from me for this extra request, I would have gladly paid.
I am going to call them on Monday and let them know my request wasn't fulfilled. I don't expect anything in return, I just want to let them know that it doesn't feel great when you don't get what you're expecting, especially after waiting for about 2 months.
Anyways, my rant is over lol. I'll post some crappy iphone 6 pics now and i'll also post some tomorrow when I get my truck back!
If anyone is wondering, I went with 2.5 coilovers with external reservoirs(non cdc), 2.0 rears with external reservoir (non cdc) and icon uniball upper control arms!

Are you sure you're running 700lb springs? That looks like a lot of preload and you don't seem to have much weight up front.
