Nope, I'm only running the 650lbs springs. I was supposed to get 700lbs but metal tech didn't provide them to me.

In regards to the preload, they are almost maxed out. Each side has a little less than 2inches of thread showing and Icon suggest to not have more than 2.1 inches of thread showing for 650lbs springs.

Ahhhh ok. I'm in the same boat and just bought Wheeler 700lb springs. Going to try to install them this weekend.

Hey Everyone,

I got my grille and led light bar on and I think it came out amazing! I'm super happy with it and it was definitely worth every penny! The amount of light this small led bar throws is out of this world. I had a 40in amazon led bar on my old xterra and I am almost sure this 20in rigid shoots light much farther and stronger!

Onto some pictures!

The first 2 were taken with my crappy iphone, but the rest are with my camera!

Hey Everyone,

I know it's been awhile since I've updated my thread, but I have a couple of updates for my truck!

I have a huge trip planned out with some buddies in May and I am getting the truck ready for that! We will be headed out to Moab so I wanted to do some maintenance checks before the long trek.

I plan on changing my transfer case fluid, front brake pads, and align the truck this week. I also purchased a full set of RCI skids (oil pan, transfer case, and transmission) just for Moab. I decided not to get the gas skid because I was told by a couple of my buddies, that the gas tank skid from rci hits your drive shaft when the truck articulates.

Skids have been on the top of my purchase list for a very long time, but I kept on pushing it off and bought other things for the truck. I figured now would be a better time than ever to purchase a set since Moab will have tons of rock and off cambered obstacles.

Anyways, I'll make sure to post some pics once the skids get here and I'll post a bunch of pictures from my moab trip!

Hi Everyone,

I picked up my truck from my cousins shop the other day. He just got done changing my transfer case fluid, break pads, and he also installed some arp extended studs to my front hubs. I didn't realize this but only half my bolts were threaded to my oem studs due to my 1.5inch wheel spacer. Now I know why spidertrax doesn't make 1.5inch wheel spacers for our trucks lolol

So yesterday I got an email at work stating that my RCI skid plates came in, so you bet I was super excited to get home. Once I got home, I looked at the package and only noticed one box. I opened it up and I find out that I only received my oil pan skid and transfer case mount. I was immediately upset because I ordered the entire skid plate package from RCI (oil, trans, and transfer case). The first thing I did was check my tracking number, and the first thing I read was that only part of my package was delivered, which was a huge sign of relief for me. Anyways, I was so excited I decided to put on my oil pan skid since I got home so early from work I decided to go with the 3/16 steel and boy these skid plates are no joke! I definitely think the bolts will break before a hole can be made in this thing.

The rest of my skid plates came in the mail today, but I got home kind of late so I wasn't able to put them on.

I also decided to pick up a safari snorkel from showstoppersoffroad. I would highly recommend them to anyone! They carry everything you can ever want for your truck, from suspension to bumpers. They are located in Glendale California and I believe they are a vendor on this forum. If you're reading this Chuck, thank you for the snorkel!

I only took a couple of pictures of the snorkel box and transfer case/ trans skid plates. I'll definitely take more once everything is on!

I also took a picture of my oem wheel studs holding my 1.5inch spacer. Again, if anyone decides to run a 1.5inch spacer, don't make the same mistake I did and slap it on your oem studs. Make sure to swap them out and run extended studs. I personally went with ARP racing studs.

I'll post more pics and updates as time comes!

Just FYI, 4runners have short studs in the front wheel. Even if you ran a 1.25 inch spacer it would look like that in the picture. Spidertrax says its okay, as long as you get 6 turns. If you still feel worried, you can extend the wheel studs OR buy extended lug nuts.

I ended up buying extended lug nuts because it was much cheaper than buying and installing wheel studs, and yeah, I want more than just 6 turns on the wheel studs.

Thanks for letting me know, I wasn't aware of that! Yeah I had about 8 turns with these synergy spacers, but with all the wheeling I do, I figured I might as well run extended studs just to be safe!

Hi Everyone,

I finished putting on my RCI skids today. I should have gotten a set a long time ago. Here is a picture with everything on!

Hey Everyone,

I got back from my trip to Moab on the 9th and boy was it unforgettable. That has been the best offroading/camping trip I have ever done. Some of the trails we did were Hells Revenge, and Top of the World. We also decided to camp out on the barracks trail right outside of Zion National park.

Unfortunately, I fell into a ditch and dented my door on Hells Revenge. I actually have the least amount of monetary damage compared to the other items my buddies lost. One of my buddies crashed his drone into the side of the mountain, and my other buddy snapped his winch rope. Guess what, it's a smittybilt LOL.

Anyways, i finally feel content with modifying the truck. For now, I'm going to focus on maintenance. I plan on doing the 100k service, replace both my front ball joints, tie rods, and maybe fix the dent on my door.

Onto some pictures, I hope you enjoy them!

Check out the snorkel!

my buddy reign doing top of the world in his bone stock trd pro!

My buddy Chase took a sweet photo of me coming down an obstacle at hells revenge.

Really like your Trail. I always like seeing the progressions people make with their modifications. It's really informative and keeps me thinking. I am looking for the OEM+ look you talked about back in the beginning of the thread. I imagine I'll eventually be way down the rabbit hole like most folks here.
