Emblems/Front and Rear Sensors

Good Morning guys, was curious on to which method of blacking out your emblems is the best method? I've seen the overlays that go over the top of the emblem for the front and back Toyota Emblems and the Word "4RUNNER" for the rear. I was wondering if anyone has them, are they staying on well after several months? Have you ran a power washer over it, how did they hold? Did you trust the 3MM tape on the back or did you guys some more adhesive? Now for plastidipping how does that handle being washed? How often do you need to reapply it? Is it months or less?

Now for the sensors. I just traded in my 2012 SR5 Premium and upgraded to a 2016 TE Premium in December and one thing I miss SO much is my Back up sensors. I don't know why it's excluded from this trim now but I was wondering what is the best aftermarket sonar sensors? I want the front and rear done without too much complication I've seen the one for the hitch but I personally think it's ugly and I tow occasionally and that defeats the purpose.

I've done some research but I wanna know from the community that drives the same model vehicle because you guys know best.

Thank you everyone for your replies in advance!!

My plastidip handles being washed and so forth just fine. High pressure soap and so forth at the car wash doesn't hurt it. Up front bugs and things have not chipped it or anything either. It is holding up well.

I plastidipped my emblems and the front and rear bumper pieces to make them match. I also did my wheels and Trail emblems and haven't had an issue with any of them.

I have not had to recoat mine at all. I did coat it on pretty thick upfront considering it would be taking hits. So far so good.

I have the overlays on my mine. I have had them on for about 3 weeks now. They have held up no problem with touchless car washes so far. I would have painted them but didnt want to deal with the hassle of it so I went the lazy route. LOL

I had done mine with plastidip and took it off. I ended up stripping it off and doing overlays. No issues with them.

Kinda leaning toward the overlay because it seems easier and I won't have to worry about over spray.

With plastidip does it hurt the chrome finish? I was wondering because I might do the logo on the steering wheel as well maybe.

I have mine dipped. Works great lasts a long time. I run mine through the car wash all the time. No issues. My wifes cousin takes his to the dunes and his weels look like he did them ladt week.

I have not recoated them still look new. If you get the kit there is a spray your supposed to spray on after several washes tomhelp keep it from getting marked up but it is super easy to spray on a cloth and wipe down.

As for overspray. I had very little if any. And that was mostly because i was not thinking about the mask very well. But it was easy enough to remove.

We use backup sensors by Echomaster and Voxx (Advent) and all work well. IMO they just look ugly. I offer ones from FIT (first integrated technologies) because they mount from the back and have an identical factory appearance.
