How much should I be charged for Bilstein all around and daystar 1.5 in the rear? 4 wheel parts said it was going to be a 6hr job and around $635

For a shop that's going to be a pretty average price. Did that include alignment

With alignment that's a decent price.

I had 6112's installed up front, icon 2.0's in the rear with Wheeler T13's and an alignment done today for $350.

Seems to be very hit or miss depending on a lot of things.. Location.. Demand.. Experience.. etc.

There was only one local shop I felt ok doing it, and they wanted $600 + alignment.. For that price one could buy virtually every single tool they need to do the lift, from jack stands to torque wrenches.. Fortunately I have all the tools and decided to save the money and do it myself, it's pretty straightforward.

Yes, but you also quoted having issues after the install in another thread. That may be why you are noticing issues.

FWIW - it doesn't have to be a suspension shop. Those items are pretty straight forward bolt in parts that any repair shop could install. I'd try a local tire and brake place and see. I used to work at a tire shop and we also did a ton of suspension and brake work. IMO it's a 2 hour job max plus an alignment. I could do it easily in 2 hours in my garage without a lift. Plus an alignment. I'd say $300-350 including alignment would be what I'd expect.

2hrs!? I must have screwed something up. I did 1.75" lift with the 5100s and it took hrs to get them reinstalled. Getting the originals out, quick and easy. But getting the LCA down enough to get the new shock in was horrendous. Is there a trick I missed because I thought for a while there there was no way I could get that shock back onto the LCA. I had to stand on the LCA and it still barely would go low enough to get it in there. I keep hearing how easy it is and it all is except that one part and I'm not sure why.

You should have loosened the lca's bolts, then it would have just dropped easily out of the way for a quick install.

I've never needed to loosen the LCA bolts (although that is an option) it always slips right in. But you do need to remove the Tie rods... Then again, I'm usually working on a vehicle with aftermarket UACs. The stock ones need the connection to the spindle all way loose....

Nobody will really get this done in 2hrs... It's always more than that, even if you know what you are doing. I've seen peoples 2hrs... turn into 6. Then they say... well 2hrs was actual time with hands on the truck.... 5hrs is fair.
