Tailgate harness clip

Does anyone happen to know what the part number is for the roughly 2" square clip that hold the main wiring harness to the tailgate. It's right in front of the left hinge? Can you even get that part separately? Local dealer said it only comes with the whole ($500) wiring harness. The shop that did the repaint said they'd order one, but I wanted to check for myself.

I was told the same thing when i called up the parts dept at 2 different dealers. Was told that its part of the entire harness part number and that you could not order the part separately because there is no separate part number. The parts diagram supports their reason. I've been searching trying to find a replacement clip but have not found any so far. Let me know if you find one.

Thanks for the link. However it's not there. Went thru all 40 pages of clips. This is the piece I'm referring to. Apparently it comes only with the harness. Pisses me off cause the body shop is who removed it and ultimately caused it to not sit correctly. Sigh. All this and the liftgate still isn't perfect. Grr.

I've been cruising schematics for a while now and cant find anything on that part. I know exactly what you are talking about but the only thing I can find is the main harness that runs into the lift gate.

See if you can look at all sides of the fastener. More than likely the P/N will be either molded into the plastic or will have a paper sticker inside.

I would go look at mine but don't want to risk breaking the actual fastener.

Let me know if you come across anything and I can plug it in and see what comes up.

Thanks. I showed the shop and he said he'd order one. Either he doesn't know or he knows something I don't.

My thought rather than 3M tape would be cut the broken piece off, drill a hole in the spot and push a trim clip thru to create a new clip. Might work.

See what dude comes up with. Who knows, maybe he practices obscure part sorcery in his paint booth on the weekends....

Best of luck though man. It sucks when there isn't a clear way to obtain something that would otherwise seem to be an easy fix.

I came searching for the exact same thing. Body shop brutes yanking stuff left and right and breaking everything. My garnish plates on the rear hatch is loose and pulled it out and I see they broke the tabs and just pushed it inside.

So sorry for waking this thread up, did you ever find that wiring harness clip?

I wonder if we can wrap this up and clip it back. Or maybe cut the clip part on both and glue the new one in.

Tailgate Harness Clip - Clamp

I have the same problem, my tailgate wiring harness clamp does not stay in the square hole in the tailgate. The part number that is inside the clamp/clip is P/N 7147-1370-30

I need one also if they are available and someone finds them 'cheap'. Otherwise I guess modify this one with the zip tie clamp from the last post.
