2017 inventory
I've noticed that the choices on toyota.com are starting to dwindle...when building a custom 4runner. Certain colors, interiors, running boards are not available. Seems odd, since it is only June. Wondering if the 2018 is getting ready?
IE: 2017 Limited, not available now in Blue, Barcelona Red. Black can only get redwood interior, now power running boards...
Please no derogatory comments about the limited version. thanks.

Model and colors I want (with no 3rd row seat) are non-exist for what I want within 300 mile radius. Anything close is out of state. Local dealer did a change order to modify something that they had already ordered (interior color) and is also looking into an allocation trade with another dealer that they have done this with in past. If those options don't work out will be looking to build to order.
I saw something a couple of weeks ago (but can't find now) that showed when last 2017 builds would end and 2018 builds would start. 2017 ending in July and 2018 starting in August.

You sort of imply that options you saw earlier, are now gone ... not sure. But I'll post this anyway. Pretty sure Toyota.com is not indicative of product availability US-wide. You'll notice it requires your zip code - thus giving you data controlled by your region (see below). Put in a Denver zip code and you'll likely see different options. You might want to shop outside your own region for more choices.
Determining Your Region for Toyota Deals
Toyota divides the country into 12 regions, offering different deals in each. The territories are listed below. As you research your purchase, keep in mind that you’re not limited to the region you live in.
If there is a significantly better deal available in another region, it might be worth the trouble to travel and buy there. If someone offered you a few thousand dollars to drive to a nearby state and back, you might very well take the deal -- why not make the same drive to save that money on a new car? Once you know your region, make sure you check out the Best Toyota deals available to you.
New England Region -- Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island
Greater New York Region -- New York, New Jersey, Connecticut
Central Atlantic Region -- Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, District of Columbia
Southeast Region -- North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida
Western Region -- Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota
Ohio Valley Region -- Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee
Midwest Region -- Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota
Mountain Region -- Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming
Gulf States Region -- Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi
Northern CA Region -- California north of the Los Angeles metro area
Southern CA Region -- Los Angeles metro area, and areas south
Pacific Northwest Region -- Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana

Interesting as I just checked with zip codes of NorCal vs SoCal - the SoCal TRDP's automatically come with the sliding rear cargo deck
