I have called a few times, they always answer. I don't remember her name, but she is nice. When I called on week 10, they had not started the build yet.I actually had them change something.
Honest ETAs and up sizing the shop would make it better.

Wait time
17 going on 18 weeks. Bought through trail duty. Called TD last week and they they acted surprised by the wait time and said they’d call gobi since there isn’t a real channel for me to communicate with them. Still nothing... Filled out the online request over a week ago too with no response. Gobi emailed me in Dec ago and said it would ship in January so Idk what is going on

Trail duty FF'd up my order, caused my rack to sit in a warehouse in houston for 1 month after the rack was complete. I would buy direct from gobi they handled 2-3 problems i had with trail duty very quickly. My guess is the one dude that appears to be running trail duty has way to much on his plate to make sure orders are filled correctly and timely. If you dont have problems i see it being just as quick as gobi direct but if you have issues good luck save some time and contact gobi.
Tip for contacting gobi, DONT leave messages they dont respond, just call a few times a day and I ussually get through 1 in 3 calls or so.

Another long wait Echo
At the 5 MONTH point waiting for my rack. Ordered 9/13/17 with a quoted 12-14 week wait time. Was contacted a week ago to process payment, 7 days later no carrier information and when contacted i am told it has not shipped yet since i was "just" charged (a full week ago). I am beginning to doubt they actually have it ready and are just buying time.
For prospective buyers - if you want one of these things plan on 6 months. Better yet - order it for your next vehicle now and it may get it before your 20k checkup. It better be everything its cracked up to be.

Mine arrived last week after a 20 week wait. Ordered through Trail Duty and did the standard design (with the front rise).
It's worth the wait. Hang in there!

I agree that they are SLOW. My stealth rack took 9 months and my light bar brackets took 4. Just keep calling and checking in

Can’t go wrong with front runner. No wait, more accessories and modularity.

Long/Misleading Lead Times on GOBI racks.
Ordered mine - Stealth no rise - September 7th, 2017 received January 31st, 2018. Installed February 10th, 2018. The rack is so well built, is easy to install, and looks awesome-IMO.
Hang in there, it’s worth the wait!

It arrived!
My stealth rack showed up right about the 21 week mark. Everything looks great except the missing sun roof insert (which they said they will ship asap). Build quality looks solid as hell. Hoping for the temps to rise a bit in UT so i can get it installed . The wait does look worth it, at least from what i can tell while its sitting in my basement. After 11 years using the stock FJ cruiser rack on my last rig i am excited to see how loading camping gear is going to go.

What's the benefit of ordering a Gobi rack via Trail Duty vs. direct through Gobi?

At the time I ordered mine, Trail Duty was honoring the "older" price of the rack while ordering directly from Gobi was $100 more. That was the main reason I went through Trail Duty.
I'm at 15 weeks and Trail Duty called me the other day to let me know my rack is ready to ship.

Rhino Rack or Front Runner. They are rugged, more versatile, mostly aluminum so rust isn't an issue, and you'll have it in about a week.

I see you went with the no rise option. Looks good ! Ordered mine as such on 1/11 and am even more anxious now after seeing yours with the same option. Good looking truck.
